Today we're going to look at best wiring options available for your 2012 GMC Acadia. First off we're going to have two different styles. We're going to have two from Tekonsha, and two from Curt. One style is going to be for vehicles that do not have an OEM wiring tow package on them, and the other set is going to be ones for vehicles that do have that OEM tow package. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on this 2012 GMC Acadia, we're going to be installing Tow Ready Trailer Harness, part number 118451. The first thing we need to do is remove the tail lights. There are two screws holding in each tail light housing. We'll use a small flat headed screwdriver to pop open the covers and use a 7-mm socket to remove the screws and remove our two tail lights. Be careful as you pry the mount not to break off the positioning tabs or tear the wiring. With the tail light out, we'll go ahead and disconnect it from the vehicle's factory harness. more
