This one is our Tekonsha T-One wiring harness, part number 118613. This one is our CURT T-Connect vehicle wiring harness, part number C56281. Then we have our Hopkins Plug-In Simple wiring harness, part number HM11140264.The first biggest difference that we found between our three wiring harnesses is in regard to power output. We found that our Tekonsha wiring harness here has the most power output of the three. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford Transit Connect- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford Transit Connect we'll be taking a look at and showing how to install the CURT T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56218.Here's what our wiring looks like installed. This wiring harness gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow a trailer. Our white wire provides the necessary ground connection between our Transit Connect and our trailer. Our brown wire provides our taillight and running light function. On this circuit we have a total power output of six amps, which is more than sufficient to tow a trailer that has several incandescent light bulbs, or basically as many LED lights as we want, because they do draw less power. The yellow wire is our left turn signal and left brake light. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford Transit Connect- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Transit Connect, we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number HM11140264. Our Hopkins wiring is going to stay inside our vehicle at all times, and it's going to be right behind our spare tire tools here. Whenever we're ready to tow we can just let our 4-pole hang down, we can close our doors up, and then our wires will be ready whenever we're ready to hook up. To begin our installation, we're going to be getting in our back hatch, so I'm going to open up the doors. I want to remind you if you have anything in the back it's going to make the installation go a little bit easier and a little smoother if you clear out the back area. We come to the inside of our hatch here. We're going to remove the panel where our jack and our spare tire's tools are at. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Transit Connect, we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Techancha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. Part number is 118613. Right now here's what our wiring gets going to look like when we pull it out of the package. This is a really pretty straightforward system to get installed. Of course here is our goal, ending up with a working four pole trailer connector. This is going to give us right turn and brake, left turn and brake, and a running light signal. more
