Everyone Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2012 Ford Taurus, and I want to walk through how to install the Hopkins simple vehicle wiring harness. When we're looking for wiring for a vehicle, typically, we're wanting wiring to either pull a trailer or maybe we have a cargo carrier that has lights on it. Maybe we have an enclosed box that maybe covers up our tail taillights a little bit, and we want to be able to get those lights onto the cargo carrier or the enclosed box so that everybody can see what we're doing. Best 2012 Ford Taurus Trailer Wiring Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2012 Ford Taurus. Here we have the Tekonsha and that's going to be part number: 118599, and then here we have the Curt and that's going to be part number: C56093. Both of our kits are going to give us the same end result. They're going to give us a 4-pole flat that we can hook up to our trailer and they're both going to live inside of our car until we're ready to tow. Then we can drape it over our trunk, it'll be right here, ready to hook up to our trailer. Both of our kits are going to protect our vehicle from any problems that may arise on the trailer end and keep it from feeding back in. They're going to do that with our module boxes here. The Curt here, this is going to be a little bit wider, but it is going to be flat. The way we're going to mount this is Curt does provide you with some double-sided foam tape that we'll be mounting in 00:00:53 the box to the inside of the vehicle somewhere. The Tekonsha is slightly shorter, but it is a little bit thicker. more
