Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Today on our 2013 Ford F250 Super Duty we're going to be taking a look at I'm going to show you how to install inaudible 00:00:01 Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness. This is what our wiring's going to look like when it's installed. This is going to provide us with a seven way plug when we're towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck. What's nice about this being an in bed setup is when we have our gooseneck or fifth wheel hooked up, our wiring can stay inside the bed instead of having to hang over our tailgate and hook into our factory wiring. This plug, once this is installed, it's going to hook directly inline with your factory wiring. You're not going to do any cutting or splicing. What's nice about the inaudible 00:00:39 wiring is on the front of your plug, it's going to tell you what each wire function is. The cap itself is going to be springloaded. It's going to help keep any dirt and debris from getting inside on the plug connections. It's going to have a rubber seal. more

Today on this 2013 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab, we're going to install part number PK11893-11932. This is the Pollak 5th wheel and gooseneck T-connector with the 7-pole connector. To make things easier for access to wiring later in our install, we'll go ahead and have the spare tire removed. Not necessary, but it makes things a lot easier to do. First we got to do some pre-assembly. We got to push these wires into the sockets right here. For a color code, all we got to do is follow the already assembled side right here. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Ford F-250

Today on our 2013 Ford Super Duty, we'll be installing the Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Gooseneck wiring harness, part number 41157. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead, get into the pickup bed and locate where we want to mount the new 7-pole. Then, using a pilot bit, we'll go ahead and make a hole, then use our hole saw to drill out the hole for our connector. Now, with the hole drilled out in our bed side, we'll take the wiring harness and feed it from underneath and through the predrilled hole. Included with the install kit will be some dielectric grease. I do recommend to put this on each one of the terminal connections to help prevent corrosion over time. Then we'll take the 7-pole connector and our wiring harness and plug the two together. Now, with our connection made, we'll go ahead and mount the stem pole connector to our bed side using the self tacking screws provided with the install kit. With that completed, we'll move underneath the vehicle and go ahead and take the wiring harness, route it over the frame and down behind the bumper. We'll go ahead and leave the wiring harness there and move to the manufacturer's 7-pole connection underneath the bumper. First we'll need to remove the connector that secures the wiring harness to the top of the hitch. more

Now with the cut out from our hole saw made, we'll go ahead and take the key connector and feed it through the hole in the bed, and ultimately, down and underneath the vehicle. Next we'll take the new 7 pull plug, and secure it here to the side of the bed, using theself tapping screws provided with our install kit.Our next step will be removing the older manufacturer's wiring from the manufacturers 7 pull plug, mounted below the bumper at the hitch. To gain access to it, we'll first go ahead and remove the push pin connector that secures the wiring to the top of the hitch. more
