Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2016 Ford Explorer, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt Four-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Harness. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's gonna work for you. When it comes to the Explorer, people do a lot of different things with them. You know, they're pretty capable SUVs and so towing trailers definitely isn't out of the ordinary, and if you plan on pulling a trailer around, you're gonna need a way to power up the lights on it. T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Ford Explorer- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Ford Explorer, we're gonna take a look at, and show you how to install, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for the Factory Tow Package, offering the 7-Pole Trailer Connector. Part number is: 118272.The 7-pole plug itself is a really nice setup. We've got a stainless steel spring in the top that's gonna keep our cover down and closed. It's kind of hard for you to see, but inside the lid here, we're gonna have a gasket that seals all the way around the plug. It's just gonna keep out that dust and that moisture, which can eventually cause corrosion and cause malfunctionings with your trailer. Now, something I really like about this installation kit is just how easy it really is to get everything installed. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Explorer we'll be showing you how to install the tow ready T1 vehicle wiring harness with 4 pole flat trailer connector, part number 118540. Our 2016 Ford Explorer here is actually a really simple job to install trailer wiring. We have this quick connect harness here that plugs directly in line with the factory tow wiring on the passenger side of the vehicle. Just to the right of the muffler there's a connector right here. We'll just press in on the locking tab, pull down. We'll take our tow ready wiring harness, we'll take the female end and plug it in this side here which goes towards the front of the vehicle. more
