Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Ford Escape we'll be having a look at our best trailer wiring options. We have two wiring harnesses here today to look at. Over to our left we have the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wire harness, part number 118715. Off to our right we have the CURT, part number C56320.The first biggest difference that we found between our two wiring harnesses is that our CURT here has a slightly lower power output compared to our Tekonsha. The CURT has a total of three amps power output for our turn signal and our brake light circuits, so those would be our green and our yellow wires. We have three amps total power output on each circuit. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Escape, you're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118715.You can see it's got a nice attached dust cap. That's gonna help protect your connections from dirt, debris, moisture, things like that. It's going to give you all the proper lighting functions for your trailer, both turn signals, your brake lights, your running lights, and your ground. What I really like about this wiring harness is it's drawing power from the battery instead of directly from the taillights.Some of your wiring harnesses that are out there, they'll plug directly into your taillights. Then your four pole's going to run directly down. And it's drawing power from the lights or from the wiring on your vehicle. more
