Speaker 1: Today, on our 2012 Ford Escape, we're going to be installing Curt's T-Connector vehicle wiring harness. Part number C56329. This wiring harness is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting that you need to haul your trailer. This includes your left turn, right turn, tail lamps, and brake lamps. So, you'll be DOT compliant in all states.It has a module box, that reads all the inputs going into your tail lamp assemblies, and sends them to your four pole connector here. This is nice because it's separate from your vehicle wiring. more

Today we'll be taking a look at the best trailer wiring options for your 2012 Ford Escape. The first one we'll be taking a look at today is the Takontra 00:00:06 T1 connector wiring harness for Ford Escapes without factory tow package. Part number 118551. The second one we'll be taking a look at today is the Takontra T1 connector wiring harness for Ford Escapes with factory tow package. Part number 118251. Both of them are going to come with everything you need to get them installed. As you can see, the one designed for Ford Escapes with tow package is going to be a lot less complicated than the one designed without tow package. With that being said, they're both still relatively easy to get installed. If you have a factory tow package, this connector here is going to plug directly in to your tow port here on the driver's side of the rear. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford Escape

Today on our 2012 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, Part Number C56160. Now we'll begin here by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. This will give us access to the two screws on each side that hold the tail light assembly in place. We will go ahead and start here on the driver's side by removing the two Phillips-head screws. With the two screws removed we will go ahead and gently pull out on the tail light assembly, there are two additional clips on the underside of the light assembly that will come out as you gently pull outward on the light assembly. There are two plugs that we'll need to remove in order to set our light assembly aside. more
