Today we'll be taking a look at the best trailer wiring options for your 2009 Ford Escape. The first one we'll be taking a look at today is the Tocontra T1 Connector Wiring Harness for Ford Escapes without factory tow package part number 118551. The second one we'll be taking a look at today is the Tocontra T1 Connector Wiring Harness for Ford Escapes with factory tow package part number 118251. Both of them are going to come with everything you need to get them installed. As you can see, the one designed for Ford Escapes with tow package is going to be a lot less complicated than the one designed without tow package. With that being said, they're both still relatively easy to get installed. If you have a factory tow package, this connector here is going to plug directly into your tow port here on the drivers side of the rear. more

Today on our 2009 Ford Escape, we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite two package wiring harness. This is part number 118251. As you can see, a really basic kit here. We're going to have a plug. This is going to go right into the factory plug under the rear of our Escape. That's going to give us the signal we need to power a trailer or maybe a cargo carrier or something along those lines. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Ford Escape C56160

Today on our 2009 Ford Escape we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part number is C56160. The first thing we're going to do is remove our taillight housings here and we'll set them aside. We'll need a Phillips screwdriver and we're going to remove the screw here and here. We'll just kind of pull out and rearward at the same time. There's going to be two pressure tabs, you can see one here and here, that just kind of slide into those holes. Now let's remove our two plugs here. more
