This is what it looks like when it's installed. You can see we have plenty of extra wire to hook up to our trailer. When not in use, you can take your attached dust cover, run it through your safety hook loop, and it holds it, keeps it from touching the ground and dangling. This is going to provide all the basic wiring you're going to need to hook up to your trailer lights.This is what's going to come in your wiring kit.
