Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2014 Dodge Durango well be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118617. To begin our install well first go ahead and open up the rear hatch. Then were going to remove the two taillight assemblies, one on each side. Each side has two fasteners that will need to be removed before we can take the taillight assembly out. These are push pin fasteners so well pry the center of the fastener out and then remove it completely. Now to remove the taillight assembly well need to pull it out away from the body of the vehicle, releasing the two alignment pins underneath. Note it can make it easier if you do a little prying on the front edge of the taillight assembly to release the fasteners underneath. Were just going to use a plastic little pry tool. more

Today our 2014 Dodge Durango, we're going to install part number C56198 from Curt. This is a Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4 pole flat. First thing we need to do is get our vehicle ready to install the part. To do that we're going to open the back hatch, then remove the taillights. There's plastic rivets that hold it in place, so we'll use a small screwdriver to pull it open. Then a trim panel tool comes in handy to pull out the rest of it. You can pull straight back and rock it back and forth and it will come out of these sockets. more
