Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT Custom Fit in bed wiring for goosenecks and fifth wheels on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500. Now our customer just added rails and a fifth wheel B&W Patriot in the back of his truck. And when hooking up to his RV, having to plug in and wrap it over the tailgate can kind of be cumbersome. So if you can have your wiring right here in bed, it makes it a lot easier to hook up and it keeps your wires nice and tucked in. So if you've ever noticed what this plug cover is on the bed of your truck, this is just a dummy plate. more

Shane: Hey guys, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, 2,500, and I'll walk you through how to install the Hopkins in bed, fifth wheel gooseneck wiring kit. Putting this in is going to give you not only a 7-pole plug in the bed of the truck, but it's also going to give you that 4-pole plug. So it really adds a nice feature. If you we're pulling a smaller trailer and you need that, 4-pole plug, you have one. The other nice thing about having this in the bed of the truck is when we're pulling that fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer, we're not going to have to drape our wire over the top of our tailgate, the plugging into that plug down by our bumper. more
