Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Express Van we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118392.Here's what the wiring looks like installed. As you can see, it's easily mountable outside of the vehicle using available hardware that we have on our website. We have a built in dust cover here to protect it when it's not in use. Now this wiring harness gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely tow our trailer. We have our taillight and our running light functions, our turn signal functions, and our brake light functions. Those run off of these three pins right here. more

Today in our 2015 Chevrolet Express, we'll be looking at our best trailer wiring options. We have two wiring options here today for the Chevrolet Express Van. Over here to the left, we have the Hopkins Plug-N-Tow, part number 31345. Now, both of our wiring harnesses will attach in the same manner. They both will go into the factory taillight connectors in-line, no cutting, no splicing required. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Express Van 30955

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Express van, we'll be install the Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-way and 4-way trailer connector for vans with factory 7-way, part number 30955. Now this adapter here will allow us to hook up to 7-way trailers, so we will be able to use trailer brakes, reverse lights, everything on our trailer that it may have. We also have our standard 4 pole flat here for when we're towing trailers that have less basic features, and just have standard running lights, and turn signals, and brake lights. We have these nice dust covers to help keep our connectors free of moisture, dirt, and corrosion. Now that we've gone over some of the features of our Hopkins connector here, we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. We can grab our factory wiring which is tucked up under the frame a little bit on the left side of the vehicle, and pull it on down. Normally, there's supposed to be a protective cover over here that you remove before you make your connection, but our van had already had a tow package on it at some point in time, and it was removed before the new owner got it. Now we'll drop our wiring through the included bracket like so. We'll line it up in position, and we're going to take a paint marker here, and mark where our holes are going to be in our bumper, where we're going to secure this to, first. more
