Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Cadillac XT5, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt custom fit vehicle wiring harness. Before we do that though, let's take a minute. We'll check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right kit for you. So with these Cadillacs being pretty capable SUVs, you know, people do tend to pull some trailers around with them and if that's what you plan on doing, you're gonna need a way to power up the lights on your trailer. Hello neighbors! It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at some trailer wiring options on a 2020 Cadillac XT5. Your first step in determining what the best trailer wiring will be for you is seeing what kind of options you need as far as a four-pole versus a seven. So, your four-pole is going to be great for your smaller trailers and just your basic connection to get your lights and signals working to let the people know behind you what you are doing. Your seven way is going to be great if you plan on towing a trailer that has brakes integrated, and that way you can send the braking signal to the actual brakes on the trailer to slow it down. Luckily for you, once you decide on which wiring, the installation on them is all extremely simple. Underneath your vehicle in the center, near where your trailer hitch will install, you're gonna see this cap on a plug. more
