Today on our 2016 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for a factory tow package. Now typically you would have a hitch right here, but in this particular situation it's a lot easier to install your wiring first. But once your hitches in place, what you could do is attach your wiring to that hitch using a number of different brackets that are available. Or what you could even do is use your dust cap and wrap it around your safety chain openings to secure it that way.Many of our customers have questions in regards to which wiring kit to get, because there are a handful out options out there. However, if you do have the factory tow package like we do, I really like this option because it's simply just plugs right in. more

Today on our 2016 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hopkins Plug-In simple wiring harness for factory tow packages. Now right off the bat, first thing I do want to point out is that typically you would have your hitch right here already in place. But since this wiring is so much more convenient and easier to install with the hitch removed, it's a good idea to put this in first. However, once you have it in, your hitch can easily be put in place, and then you'd be able to mount your wiring to your hitch using some brackets that are available here at Etrailer. Or what you could even do is use your dulce cap, wrap it around the safety chain loop on your hitch and secure it that way. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring options for your 2016 Cadillac SRX. To determine which wiring harness you're going to need, you're going to need to know if your SRX has the tow package or not. Now most likely it will, and there's going to be a connector behind the bumper in the center that our new harness is going to plug directly into.Here we have our Tekonsha, which is going to plug directly into the factory tow package. It's going to be an extremely easy connection. We're just going to have to take the cover off and plug our new wiring harness in, and then take the zip ties and tie up the excess wire. It's going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector, giving us our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. more
