Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring options for your 2010 Cadillac SRX. To determine which wiring harness you're going to need, you're going to need to know if your SRX has the tow package or not. Now most likely it will, and there's going to be a connector behind the bumper in the center that our new harness is going to plug directly into.Here we have our Tekonsha, which is going to plug directly into the factory tow package. It's going to be an extremely easy connection. We're just going to have to take the cover off and plug our new wiring harness in, and then take the zip ties and tie up the excess wire. It's going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector, giving us our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Cadillac SRX- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56096. So here's what our wiring looks like when it's fully installed. We do have the factory plug right behind the bumper here, and it is going to stay on the outside at all times. Now, it provides us with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, which is going to give us all the required lights to get down the road safely and legally, such as our clearance lights, turn signals, and stop lights. Now that we see what it looks like in the end result, let's show you how we put it on.To begin our installation, we're going to come to the back of our vehicle and we're going to remove this center panel right here. Now, we're going to have two fasteners holding it in place, and we're going to be using a Phillips head screwdriver bit to take them out. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Cadillac SRX 118259- Video
Today on our 2010 Cadillac SRX we have our T1 vehicle wiring harness for a factory tow package, part number 118259. Our package includes a couple zip ties for getting this up out of the way, and the wire harness. Our first step is to locate our vehicle factory trailer harness, which is going to be right here in the bumper. I'll go ahead and take this panel off, we've got our Phillip's screwdriver with two screws, and we pull the panel off. Now that I've got my two screws out I'll go ahead and pull the panel off. Now that we've located our wire harness we've got a weather cap on here, we'll pull the tab and it pops right off. This is there to seal it from the weather. We'll take our new wiring harness and clip it back in place. more
