Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 BMW 3 Series- Video
Today on our 2018 BMW 3 series, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Tekonsha ZCI circuit protected vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number 119250KIT. It's going to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector, and it's gonna give us all the required lights to get down the road safely, like our brake lights, running lights, and our turn signals. It's gonna have a dust cap to keep all the dirt and debris out of our connector, and we can use it to hang our excess wire real close to our hitch, so it'll be ready for us whenever we want to tow.The really nice thing about our wiring is the fact that the ZCI is gonna stand for zero contact interface. So, we're not gonna have to cut, splice, or do anything to our factory wires except simply put a clamp around it. Those clamps are gonna detect that signal, go through a converter box, and send it out to our connector. That's gonna reduce the strain on our vehicle's tail lights and turn signals because it's not tapping directly into it and it's gonna prevent us from having to cut into the wire and voiding any kind of warranties. more
