Now this replacement air filter is going to be quite a bit larger than your factory air filter. A lot of people know them as cool air intakes, and that's exactly what it's designed to do. It's designed to take a high volume of air to condense it down and to cool it when it goes into your engine, therefore your engine is going to perform better. All right, today on this 2002 Toyota Tundra, we are going to install part number AFE54-12262. To start off our install, we are going ahead and get underneath the hood, and we will go ahead and remove the trim cover over the throttle body. Next, there is going to be a bolt we have to remove from the AC line clamp. We will save that for re-installation later.Next, we need to remove the mass air flow sensor. First, we will go ahead and disconnect the wire harness, and then we will unscrew the screws for the sensor. We will set them aside in a safe place for now. more

Today on this 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to install part number AR311-212. This is Airaid CAD Intake System with SynthaMax Filter. First thing we need to do, open up the hood and get to the engine compartment. When you remove the engine cover, this whole assembly simply just pops up. Just pull up from the bottom and gently pull up and it will pop loose. Next, we need to loosen the hose clamp on the air box side of the intake tube. Let's undo the clamp. more

Today is a 2006, Chrysler 300C. We're going to install part number Ar350-199 from AIRAID. To start off our install, we're going to go ahead and disconnect the negative cable from the battery located in the trunk. Next we need to loosen the hose clamp that holds the factory intake tube to the throttle body. Next, we'll go ahead and disconnect the breather hose from the factory air box lid. Then we'll go ahead and remove the lid to the air box. We'll pull both lock down tabs towards the front. more

Today, on our 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser, we're going to install part number AR300-138 from Airaid. This is the Airaid Cad intake system with a sensiflow filter, stage one. To start off our install, we'll go ahead and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then we need to remove the factory air lid. To do this, we'll go ahead and loosen up the clamp on the factory intake tube at the box lid. Then we can go ahead and unclip the factory air box lid, and remove it from the vehicle. Now typically, there's two clips; on this particular vehicle, one of the clips is missing. more

Now to begin our installation underneath the hood here we'll need to disconnect the mass airflow sensor. We'll do this by sliding the red tab back and then simply removing the connector. We'll also need to slide the intake tube here on the other side off by moving the green clip and then pulling it off.We'll also need to disconnect the wiring harness from the air box in these two locations. We'll now take a 10mm deep socket and remove the four tower bolts, two on each side and also the one bolt holding the factory intake tube to the mounting bracket here. At this point we can go ahead and remove the entire factory intake system. more

AFE Direct Fit Cold Air Intake System Installation - 2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video
Today on this 2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty, were going to install the AFE Direct Fit Cold Air system part number AFE51-10192. Our first step is going to be removing the negative battery cable on both sides. This particular application has two batteries. Im going to start with the passenger side. With the passenger side down well move over to the drivers side and repeat the same process. Now were going to go ahead and remove the cold air intake holes that connect to the air cleaner box. more

AFE Air Intake System Installation 2005 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on the 2005 GMC Sierra 1550 series, were going to be installing the AFE Intake Kit product number AFE51-10092. The kit includes the replacement air filter, the new intake tube, an intake adapter and two different couplers, hose clamps, the trim seal, and then the new intake housing. Once we've ensured all that's there, we can go ahead and start with our installation. The first thing we want to do before we start moving each stock intake system is to go ahead and remove the negative terminal from the battery. Well reinstall this once the new intake is in, that will allow the system to reset itself around the new intake system. Ok, moving on to the factory air intake, were going to first disconnect the mass air censor.There is actually a clip that's on here that we need to remove that first. more

aFe Direct-Fit Cold Air Intake System with Pro Dry S Filter Installation- Video
Today on this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 series with a 5.3 liter engine we will be installing the AFE air intake system, part number AFE51-11752. The first thing we are going to do is remove the engine cover. It pops right off since it is a press fit. Next, we are going to loosen the clamp here that is attaching the tube to the intake housing and throttle body. We will do the same thing on the clamp on the other side. Next we are going to move over and disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor. Then we are going to remove the plastic line coolant brace from the intake tube. You can see this is a push rivet type connector. I an going to use a rivet removal tool, if you do not have one of these you can use a flat head screwdriver.
