Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning Review - 2022 Tesla Model Y- Video

Hi, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Rhino Rack Sun Seeker Awning here on our 2022 Tesla Model Y. If you are planning on going on an adventure and you need some extra shade as you're there this could be a good option for you, and not just big adventurous it could also be used for tailgating, hanging out in your driveway or at the parking lot at soccer games, you name it. You do need a roof rack on your Tesla Model Y to use this awning. This is the roof rack that you can get at the Tesla dealership and even though it is a flush mounted rack, it still works. There are T tracks on the crossbars that allow you to use this. So notice how it doesn't clamp around the crossbars but it goes into that T channel and clamps into it. more

Rhino Rack Car Awning Review - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today we have the Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The Sunseeker is gonna be the easier-style awning. If you want something that's quick and easy to set up where it doesn't take multiple people holding down the stakes and poles, that's where the square awning like this can come in handy. And here on our Silverado, we have it on our camper shell with the crossbars, and that's actually a really nice setup because we're able to maximize our awning and get as much shade as we can without spending as much effort to get that shade set up. So quick look at how this fits on our truck. The distance from our tire to the end of the awning, that's gonna be 80 inches of shade we're going to get. more

Thule HideAway Awning Installation - 2018 Forest River Flagstaff Camper- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at installing the Thule Hideaway Awning on a 2018 Forest River Flagstaff SE Camper. Now the Forest River Flagstaff SE came with a Dometic awning already on it which was fine, but it uses a system where it uses a bead to go into a track and it's supported by that. So as it sits in storage or out in the elements, that's gonna dry rot and crack out. And that's what happened with this one. So as that awning was slowly falling off, we wanted to replace it with something that's a little bit better and maybe just last a little bit longer. more

Thule HideAway Awning Review- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Thule hideaway awning. Now this is gonna be available in three different configurations depending on how it mounts up, and also two different sizes. Now today, we have this on our Flagstaff popup camper using the wall mount, and that makes it pretty universal as long as you have a solid mounting point for a wall that you can drill through and put brackets, it's gonna work. So for you car campers or overlanders, if you have a roof rack, there is an option available to mount up to that, or if you have a Ram ProMaster or a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and you're doing the van life, there's also specific mounts for those. So whether you're on a camping adventure, maybe tailgating your favorite sports team, this is gonna be a great option to really add a little bit of outdoor real estate, and that way, you can stay protected from a sweltering sun like we have today and just kind of be able to enjoy the outdoors without getting cooked by the sun. The awning is made from a waterproof fabric, which is gonna be great, because it's gonna hold up to elements long-term, and if there is a small drizzle that you wanna wait out instead of piling everyone back in the camper, you could sit here and let those sprinkles come down without worrying about that canvas getting damaged. more

When it's hot, it's always nice to have a little spot to get out of the sun. It's a lot hotter out here than it is underneath the awning. So whether you are biking, maybe you're at a sporting event, tailgating, or maybe just overlanding somewhere in the middle of nowhere, well, the Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning is gonna bring shade to you so you're not gonna be hot wherever you go. The nice thing about the awning compared to maybe just a stand-up tent, one, it's gonna be up on our roof and it's ready to rip, two, we don't have to put it on the inside of our vehicle, so it's not really taking up any more room on the inside. I really like that. And when it comes to the crossbars and the amount of space it takes up, only about an inch and a half, which is awesome because it's not really gonna limit you from all the other accessories you like to put up on your roof. more

I'm Colin, here at eTrailer, and today we're going to take a look at Rhino racks batwing compact awning.Now this awning mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle, provides you with shade from the sun, or protection from the rain for those social events like tailgates or farmers markets or anything like that. Now the reason they designed this compact awning, is because some customers wanted something a little bit smaller, they went to those events and realized they didn't have quite enough space for that big awning that took up 118 square feet. Today you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install the Rhino-Rack Batwing Roof-Rack Mounted Awning on our 2017 Ford Transit T-150.Out Batwing's going to provide us with 270 degrees of coverage from the passenger side all the way around to the back. As you can see, we're still going to have total access to this side of our vehicle and for our back doors.The Batwing's should be designed, not only for shade, but to keep you out of the rain. Not only for your construction workers and your tailgaters, but for your campers.Our canvas is going to be constructed of a polyester ripstop material, that's going to be resistant against mold and mildew, water and UV rays.Each leg is going to be retractable. Rhino-Rack Crossbar Batwing Awning Installation - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video

Today on 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install, the Rhino Rack Batwing Awning, for the Pioneer Platform rack.It's available for the passenger side under part number RR33200 or available for the drivers side under part number RR33100.The Batwing awning is a great on the go solution for anytime you're going to be in direct sunlight for an extended period of time. It provides instant and easy shade, which is going to be perfect for tailgating, camping, really any time you're gonna be in direct sunlight for a long time.It swings out 270 degrees, around the passenger side and back of your vehicle, providing 118 square feet of shade.The posts are made out of aluminum, and have a black powder coat finish, to help resist rust and corrosion.The legs are telescoping, meaning we can set it to any height that we want, once we have it tightened down, and we want to leave, we can fold it up and store it at the height we want, so that we don't have to readjust next time we want to use it.The T-track channels on the back of our awning allow you to mount any lightweight accessories, such as a shovel carrier or an ax holder.Because it mounts to the side of our pioneer rack, that leaves us with all the space on top, for any travel or cargo needs.The canvas is a rip-stop polyester material, which is UV, water, and mold resistant, and it also provides SPF 50 UV protection.The integrated PVC cover helps protect your awning while it's in storage, or when you're traveling down the road with it on your roof.Let's go ahead, and show you how to set this up.We're gonna start in the back, by undoing our PVC cover.Oh, okay.The we can come to the zipper, and unzip it all the way.Once you have it unzipped all the way, just flip it over.Now we're gonna come to this convenient storage pocket, and pull out our stakes and guy wires.After that, just hook that pocket over on top of the cover.Now we can undo all of our hook and loop straps that are holding our awning up.Undo your last strap, the cover will just fold out, and just guide it all the way down.Now we're gonna grab our four poles, and begin to swing them out.Once you have your awning completely swung out, locate the strap with this little loop in it. You're gonna take it, and attach it to your pre-installed anchor point.Once you have it installed, just take you strap and tighten it up, like so.Now we can go around and undo these hook and loop straps, and fol down all of our legs.The legs are telescoping, so you can set them to whatever height you desire.Now we can take our included pegs, and begin to drive them into the ground to anchor down our legs. They go in at an angle, on opposite sides.Once you have it as far down as you can with your hand, you can take a rubber mallet, a hammer, or just your foot, to drive it in all the way.And then do the same thing for the other side.And then just repeat these steps for the other poles.If you're experiencing windy conditions, the awning does come with these orange guy wires, when they're installed, it's going to help anchor down the awning, to make sure it doesn't blow anywhere.The neon orange also helps you to see the wire so no one trips over it.Because we're not experiencing any windy conditions, we're gonna skip this step.if you're experiencing a rainy day, the guy wires can also double as a rain run-off source.All you have to do, is hook this into the strap, and then once you pull down on the guy wire, and anchor it into the ground, it's gonna form that run off point, so the rain water doesn't sit on top of your awning.Now we're going to go around on our legs, and fasten up these hook and loop straps, to help secure the awning.You're just gonna repeat this for every leg.Once you've completed all those steps, you're ready to enjoy some shade.Now that I've gone over some of those features, let's show you how this installs.This is a very simple installation, you will want an extra set of hands to assist you with getting your batwing on top of your pioneer rack.We have right here the brackets that are going to slide into the T-track on top of the pioneer rack.You want to make sure the bolts are threaded just a little bit, so that there's space for it to slide in there.You also want to make sure that the bracket right here, is parallel with the batwing awning.If you want to use this product, with your vortex arrow crossbars, all you have to do is take out these bolts right here, and turn your bracket vertically, and put the bolts in these two holes.Right here our anchor that's gonna go on the opposite side of where we place out awning. We'll get to that in a minute.Now with our extra set of hands, we're gonna start to put our awning in place.When I set the first bracket into that T-slot, and just begin to slide it over, when you get to your next bracket, just set it inside the slot, and then slide it over.Now, with our 10mm socket, we're gonna begin to tighten down our bolts. We're gonna alternate every so often, as to help it draw itself up.Now come the other side.You don't want to go too tight, you just want to go until it's pretty snug, and the lock nuts are flattened into place.And then just repeat this for the other side.Now just give it a quick shake, just make sure it's stable. more
