If you're looking for a reliable pocket compass that you can use in the dark, this might be a good item for you to consider. The LED-illuminated dial allows you to find your way in low light, and the light stays on when the button is held down to help preserve your battery. Now, I'm gonna go ahead and just shut my studio lights off here to show you this light, and I'm really impressed with just how bright it is. So my camera might not pick it up all that well, but hopefully, you can can see that that dial is lit up completely, so you're not gonna have any problems seeing this dial in low light to dark situations while you're pushing down that button. These anodized aluminum carabiners are handy for attaching your gear, keys, tools and more to items like your backpack, your tent, your canoe or your belt loop. The spring loaded closure makes these Carabiners easy to open and close. You're not gonna have to worry about any items that you put on this Carabiners coming off or you're not gonna have to worry about the carabiner coming off with anything that you attach it to, With that spring loaded closure. Now I use a carabiner similar to this one on an everyday basis to hold my keys, and it's a very convenient way to carry my keys. Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at Coghlan's 13 inch long camping ax with nail puller. If you're looking for an ax to have on hand for chores around the campsite, like splitting wood or backyard tasks, this might be a good ax for you to consider. The forged steel ax is strong and durable, and it has this notch here in the ax head that's going to allow quick removal of nails, and the back of the ax head can be used to hammer in tent pegs, and this non-slip rubber grip handle offers a comfortable safe grip with the tang running through this handle. Now, the overall length of this ax is 13 inches long, the length of the ax head itself at the longest point is 4 5/8 inches long, and the width of the ax here, along the edge at the widest point, is sitting right at about 2 7/8 inches wide. Review of Coghlans Camping Tools - 4 Millimeter Carabiner - CG48PR- Video
Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at Coghlan's four millimeter carabiners. Now, these carabiners are great for attaching your gear or your keys to things such as your backpack, a canoe, your tent, or for me, I use carabiners to attach keys to my belt loop. Now carrying an expensive smartphone in one pocket and the wallet in the other pocket, I really don't want keys floating around, especially in the pocket that has my smartphone in it, don't want to scratch that up. So, I have been carrying keys on a carabiner for years and attach it to my belt loop, so it's always easily assessable, never have to worry about losing them, and I know that my keys will be securely attached to the carabiner and they'll always be ready when I need them. Now, these carabiners from Coghlan have a really nice spring-loaded closure that's going to make these carabiners not only easy to open, but also you can be confident that whatever you attach to these carabiners, they are going to be secure. Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at Coghlan's Deluxe Map Compass. If you are looking for a map compass that has a see-through base plate to help you navigate by using a map, this might be a good option for you to consider. Let's take a closer look at it. This compass not only features a see-through base plate as you can see here, but it also has a magnifier that is going to allow you to easily navigate your surroundings using a map, so that's a nice added feature of this Deluxe Map Compass, and it is going to include scales in millimeter, and then 1 to 50,000 scale, and then 1 to 25,000 scale right here. It features a liquid dampened needle in the compass, so this is gonna provide you reliable and accurate readings. As you can see the housing rotates as well, very nice and very smooth, and you just wanna be sure that you keep your compass away from other magnetic sources, because that will affect the readings, items such as your smartphone, other things like that, that will affect the reading of your compass, so just be aware of that. more

This four inch diameter disc is gonna be excellent to go ahead and make sure that no matter where we are, we have a little bit of tinder, that way we can get our fire started. So what's great about this guy, you know, it is quite large. You might be thinking to yourself, man, is this a one use thing No, we can go ahead and cut this up and pretty much have the amount of tinder that we need to go ahead and start a bunch of fires. It's a great tool to have whether you're chopping up wood or when you're at your campsite and you need to hammer in some 10 stakes into the ground, you can use the back of your hatchet to perform that task for you. If you we're looking for a convenient way to have a compass and a thermometer at your fingertips, I might just have the item here for you. What you have here is, you have a pocket compass and a thermometer that's combined as a really two valuable items in one nice compact unit that you can have with you on your outdoor travels. And let me take a closer look here at the first function here, we have this nice liquid-filled compass, that's gonna give you an accurate, reliable reading, and this also has a glow-in-the dark dial that can be seen in low light conditions. And I tested it out with my iPhone compass app, and it is very accurate, of course, you wanna hold it flat to get the accurate readings, and you wanna make sure to keep this compass away from other magnetic sources as well, because that will affect the readings. If you are looking to take a safety whistle along with you while you're on your hiking adventure, or if you're camping, or if you're just walking the trail and you want to have a little bit more of a safety precaution with you, this could be a really good option for you. This brass whistle is nickel-plated for durability, and it's also quite attractive looking as well, with this plating. And it also includes this black deluxe lanyard and the lanyard, when stretched across, I measured it at about 18, 18 1/2 inches long. And what's nice about this lanyard is it does have a swivel clip, so no matter which way you put this lanyard on, that whistle can be turned in any direction that you would like. Now, these carabiners are handy for attaching your equipment, keys, and tools, or more to items such as your backpacks, your canoes, your tents, or your belt loops. And that's something that I use this for quite a bit. I have a carabiner that I have for personal use, it's very similar to this. And one way that I find is good to use these for is carrying my keys. And I just put my car key on here, my house key on here, and that gives me easy access to the keys on my belt loop, carrying a phone in one pocket, a the wallet in the other, I don't have to worry about keys of scratching up my phone in my pocket. more

Hi everybody. My name is Andy with the etrailer.com and today we are looking at Coughlan's backpackers trowel, and this trowel is perfect for backpackers or campers who need a trenching tool or a sanitation trowel, but you don't want to pack a lot of additional weight to what you're carrying. By the way this trowel also works great as a gardening tool, let's take a closer look at this trowel and we see that this is made out of high impact polystyrene plastic. It is lightweight, and as you can see, it's bright orange for easy visibility. So it's going to be really difficult to lose this in the woods. I'm kind of giving it some flex here and it is very sturdy and the, the plastic is very strong, and I think it would take up quite a bit to break this or shatter this. more

They do suggest, if you want to go ahead, slap this in a tin cup, light it like a candle, that way you guys can produce just a little bit of light, keep in mind that does have a nice little accelerant as well.
