WeatherTech Custom Fit Hood Protector Installation - 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the WeatherTech Custom Hood Protector on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now this will be a great option for you if you are looking at protecting your hood. Just like the name says, what this is gonna protect it from is if when you driving on the road there's lot of bugs coming at you or there's some debris or rocks kicking up on the road that's gonna help prevent any of that from hitting the front of our vehicle and scratching up our paint. This is gonna be constructed from a flexible acrylic, so getting it on here is gonna be pretty easy, especially with how flexible it is. But just because it's flexible doesn't mean it's not sturdy 'cause when you are handling it, it does feel pretty tough that it's gonna be able to handle everything that you throw at it, whether that be rocks or bugs on the road. As for the color, I'm a big fan of it. more

Hi there, Chevy owners, today on your 2016 Chevy Silverado, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Flint Hill Goods bug deflector. And this is what our bug deflector looks like when it's installed. You can see it will go completely across the front hood. It doesn't quite extend to the edge of the vehicle, so on the small portions where the front fenders are, there will still be a little bit exposed, but the majority of the hood here is gonna be protected across the front. This will keep any kind of bugs and rocks and things that would normally leave chips or abrasions on the front of our vehicle in it. And it will happen right here onto our padding. more

One of the nice things about these mats are they are custom fit for your vehicle. Today on 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing the Husky Shield Vehicle Paint Protectors for the hood and door edges, part number HL06411. We'll also be using part number HL07999 which is an installation kit for the Husky Shield Vehicle Paint Protectors and is not included. We want to begin by adding the contents of the solution into our 32 oz spray bottle provided in the kit. Once we have those mixed, we can shake and then spray the front edge of the hood with a mixed solution. Now, we'll grab our surface prep putty and scrub the entire front edge of our hood. Be sure to only use the surface prep putty when the surface is wet. If used on a dry surface, the putty will be sticky and not perform as intended. more

Now we've already gone ahead and cleaned the area where the bug shield will be installed on our vehicle. You want to make sure that you go ahead and clean this area of the grill here because once the bug shield's installed, it may be a little difficult to get in there, get any bugs or anything off. Today on our 2011 Dodge Ram Pickup, well be installing the Putco Element Bug Shield Hood Protector in the chrome Color Part Number P470200. Pull the hood latch here, releasing the hood where we can now open it up. Now that we have our hood open, we'll find the weather strip here at the edge and according to the instructions we'll need to locate the push pin fasteners where our bug shied will attach. Today on our 2011 Ford Ranger we're going to install the Weathertech Bug Shield, part number wt50122. To begin with you may want to go ahead and clean the front edge of the hood b because once the bug shields on it may be a little difficult to clean underneath it. Let's begin by raising the hood' you'll notice there's a rubber strip at the front edge of the hood. There are three small fasteners as well as some adhesive that holds this strip to the hood.You'll need to remove this before the installation of the bug shield. You can usually get your fingers underneath and just pop them out. For the adhesive it works best to not scratch the hood-you can slide your finger along it slowly pulling on the weather stripping piece and it will slowly pull off. more

EGR Bug Shield Installation - 2012 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford F150 were going to install the EGR Super Guard Bug Shield part number 303371.First well need to go ahead and pop the hood on the truck. Next were going to raise the hood enough that we can temporarily fit our bug shield in place. Our new shield is going to have a total of 5 attachment points. Weve got one on each end that have screws attached and 3 attachment points across the center where well be using adhesive and clips to secure it. Now lets go ahead and test fit it in position. Well insert the plastic attachment up into the hood and then secure the shield with the screw and washer. more

Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series HD, we are going to be installing EGR bug shield part number 301401. When installing our bug shield, the first thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the hood. The bug shield is going to attach to the underside of the hood, using the existing holes. If you look here at the rear side and follow along the edge, you can see we have 5 existing holes here that we are going to use as our attaching points to our bug shield.
