Today we're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install the HydraStar Electric over Hydraulic Brake System on our 2015 Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel. This is going to allow you to use your electric brakes in your truck to control the hydraulic disc brakes in your trailer. Let me give you a few benefits for switching from electric drum brakes to electric over hydraulic disc brakes. Your electric over hydraulic disc brakes are going to give you much greater stopping power in a shorter distance, where your drum brakes are going to tend to wear down over a little bit of time, and then you're going to have to rely on the truck's brakes to stop both the truck and the trailer. With the hydraulic brakes, you're getting 1600 psi in your brake lines. more
