Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer base plate on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now there's five main components required when flat towing your Wrangler. And starting on the vehicle side, we have our base plate, and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle, creating a structural mounting point for your tow bar and all the rest of your components. Your tow bar is the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And the base plate also has tabs for our safety cables that we have here. So just like pulling the trailer, you wanna make sure that it doesn't disconnect. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style base plate kit here on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So there's two different kinds of Roadmaster base plates available for your vehicle here, the Direct-Connect and then the Crossbar-Style, which is what we have here. So the Crossbar-Style is a great option for you if you wanna use Roadmaster's Rock Guardian, which is a vehicle protector, or if you have a tow bar that mounts on the vehicle when you're not using it. For those particular applications, you will have to use the Crossbar-Style. But you can also use the Crossbar-Style with any other tow bar just so long as you have this quick-connect. more

But before we do that, why don't you check it out and make sure that this is gonna be a set up that'll work for you. So before we get too carried away checking out the base plate and how it works and things like that, I figured it'd be beneficial just to kind of refresh ourselves and go over the main components that we're gonna need to flat tow our vehicle down the road in the first place. So there's gonna be a total of five main components that you're gonna need. First one is gonna be the base plate, What that's gonna do is provide us with a solid and reliable attachment point, that way we can hook our tow bar up to it. more
