Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster base plate on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Here, we have our base plate installed on our Jeep, and you can kinda of see how it actually looks installed. And while you do have this crossbar across, on a Jeep, it actually pulls it off pretty well. In fact, everything kinda sits back behind this front portion of the bumper, so it's a pretty nice look. more

Hi, there Jeep owners stay in your 2017 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install a Curt's base plate. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed you will be able to see the entire cross tube and base plate underneath the bumper, But I actually liked the way it looks. It kind of adds an aggressive look to the front of your Jeep. It makes it like you're doing something special with this one. On each end that you're going to have your attachment point for your tabs, where you'll connect your tow bar, as well as the location for your safety cables to attach to, sounds like some of the other manufacturers they provide a minor location for your wiring and your breakaway switch for your braking system. more

Today there's gonna be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Wrangler down the road safely. First one's gonna be the base plate and that's gonna provide us with a solid and reliable connection point, that way we can hook our tow bar up to it. So the tow bar here is gonna be your second main component. This is gonna be the physical link that actually connects the front of your Jeep to the back of your motor home. more

Ryan here at etrailer.com.Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Direct-Connect baseplate kit with removable arms.Now, the reason you would want this baseplate is when it's in place, it's going to allow us to connect to a tow bar, which in turn will let us flat tow our Jeep down the road. That's going to be nice. That way, when you're going out of town, you don't have to worry about finding another person to drive your Jeep separately.Now, compared to some of the other base plates on the market, in my opinion, this one just has a more heavy duty feel and a more rugged look, which that obviously blends in nicely with Jeep's appearance.Now, whenever you actually get your hands on this baseplate kit, you're going to tell just how solid it really is. Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be installing Blue Ox's baseplate kit, part number BX1126. This baseplate's going to allow you to hook up your vehicle to tow bars and pull it behind your RV. It's a custom fit design that's going to look nice on it and tuck up underneath, so you won't see any of the mounting hardware. Additionally, it's going to provide a mounting location for your six pole connector, so you can get that necessary lighting and potentially breaking system installed on your vehicle easily.It has removable attachments for your tow bar, so when you're not using it, you can simply pull them out and that way you don't have to worry about bumping your knee against it when walking by and it will help it look a little bit nicer as well. On the ends of the tow bar is a location to hook up your safety chains. This adapter will work with Blue Ox brand tow bars and can also be adapted to work with Roadmaster tow bars using part number RM-031 or RM-031-5. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best base plate options for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now, when it comes to Jeeps, there is a lot of different options with the Jeep itself. We're going to be going over the base plate options, and since there are so many different editions and models of Jeeps, we're going to try our best to cover them all. The base plates we have here are going to fit your standard Jeeps that have no winch and no guards on the bumper. Later on, we'll be talking about some of the specialty Jeeps that have some of the off road bumpers and different styles that they have.Here we have one of our base plates mounted on our Jeep, and what our base plates are all going to do, is they're going to allow us to safely hook up a tow bar to tow our Jeep Behind our motor home or coach, and safely get down the road.
