Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit Installation - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing the Roadmaster Base Plate Kit, part number 1419-5. Now to begin our install, on most applications we'll first need to remove the lower splash guard. However, for this application we don't have one, so there won't be one to remove. Our next step will be removing the rock guard behind the front fascia. The rock guard is secured to the frame with four fasteners that go into the well nuts of the frame. These attachment points will also become the new attachments points for our base plate, so we'll need to remove these fasteners and the rock guard, and it will not be reinstalled. Now with the rock guard out of the way, we'll need to remove the front tow hook. more
