Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit Installation - 2011 Honda CR-V

Today, in our 2011 Honda CR-V, we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, Part #1559-1. All right, here's what our base plate looks like installed. Now, when the base plate's removable arms are taken out of it, we don't have to have a lot sticking out in front of our vehicle, giving us a nice, clean appearance. We're ready to flat tow. These removable arms are compatible with Quick Disconnects and all Roadmaster tow bars. Now for added security and to help prevent theft, you can secure your removable arms to your base plate with a locking pin and clip design, which we have available on our website. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2011 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2011 Honda CR-V we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, part number BX2246. Now here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. We've gone ahead and installed our breakaway switch for our braking system at the time we had the fascia off, but this does not come with it. It's going to fit nicely in our grill. The only thing you're going to need to cut out is a couple of the bars that drop across where our base plate lands. When it's not being used to hook our tow bar in place, we have these nice rubber covers to help keep dirt and grime out of the hole. When you're ready to tow it behind your RV, you're going to slide in your end, turn it and it'll snap into position. more
