Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2010 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we're going to review and install the Blue Ox Base Plate with removable arms, part number BX2605. Here's what our base plate will look like once it's installed. To use our base plate, we'll simply remove the plastic cups that go into the receiver tubes when it's not in use. Then we can take our removable arm, slide it into the receiver tube until the detente pin is depressed and rotate it until it locks into position. Same thing here on the other side. Then once we're finished towing our vehicle, we want to take out the removable arms, we'll simply pull back on the detente pin and rotate it to unlock. We can put our plastic cups back into the receiver tube, to help keep that dirt, dust and debris out of the receiver tube. A couple of the really nice features about our base plate is how easy it is to install and equipped with it, our chain hold downs, or cable hold downs on each side. more
