Review of Peterson Backup Cameras and Alarms - Alarms and Sensors - 786-97

Today we're gonna take a look at the Peterson Backup Alarm for trucks and vans. Anytime you have a commercial vehicle, or maybe a fleet vehicle, something that's going to need that backup alarm, this is gonna be a great replacement or addition to your truck to meet those compliance rules and regulations. It's pretty easy to install, we'll just have our two wires to connect. The red wire goes to our power connection, so we'll wanna wire this in with our reverse switch if we have it available, and then our ground will be the black wire.If you don't have a reverse switch option on your vehicle that you're installing this on, if it doesn't have any backup lights to operate as that reverse switch, you will need to install one on your own. That is not included with this alarm, so just keep that in mind.It also comes with that rubber grommet, helps us to mount it in place, gives it a little bit of protection. So I'm gonna connect my wires and demonstrate just how loud this alarm really is. If you're listening to this on headphones, I would advise turning down your volume a little bit, because it's gonna be pretty loud. more

Buyers Products Backup Cameras and Alarms - Alarms and Sensors - 337BA102 Review

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Buyer's Products self-grounding backup alarm. This backup alarm delivers a low frequency tone to warn pedestrians and other drivers while you're backing up or while your vehicle's in reverse. Features a nice epoxy sealed design, so it does a good job as resisting moisture, dust, dirt, and vibration. Self-grounding design simply means that it grounds through the mounting hardware. Mounting hardware not included, but the bottom post right here is our ground post, and you can see that it has that metal bracket connected to it, so that way, whether you choose to use the bottom set of mount holes or the upper set of mount holes, or both, then it will ground through the mounting hardware. But again, mounting hardware not included. We're looking at a durable plastic construction. more
