Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Ford F53 Motorhome, we're gonna be taking a look at our best sway bar options. When it comes to motorhomes, a lot of people really aren't satisfied with how they perform in terms of driving it down the road. The suspension's kinda all over the place. The steering's usually sloppy, and these are just a big brick, more or less going down the road and really top heavy, they catch wind. And so a lot of people, they get fatigued trying to handle this thing. more

Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2018 Ford F-53- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar on a 2018 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed, and what's really nice is it uses a lot of the factory mounting points that are already there, and that does include changing out the U-bolts for new ones, and this plate will just slide over where those existing ones were, you get new hardware to bolt this up, we also, off of that new bracket, have our brackets with our polyurethane bushings, and that's something throughout this whole sway bar, you have polyurethane in all of the bushings, which make it a much smoother operation, they don't break down long-term, and they hold up really, really well to weather or any chemicals that you might see out on the road. Going along with that factory mounting, we do have a bracket up here that's gonna go to a cross member that's on your frame already, and it's gonna utilize three of those bolts, or at least those bolt holes to get this attached. So it's solidly mounted to your frame as well as your U-bolts, and just kind of follows along with your rear axle, so that way, when one side has a little bit of weight onto it, it's gonna fight against it. Now something you may notice is, this is on the rear of the axle from the factory, these actually have one in the front, so this is just gonna help out that front one do a little bit more of that sway control. And this being an inch and 3/4 inch thick, means that it has quite a bit of tension to be able to really fight against the sway, even with a vehicle this heavy. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2018 Ford F-53 Motorhome chassis, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. When you have an RV, something of this size, when you hit little bumps in the road or a semi passes you on the road or just any truck or trailer of any size, the feeling that you get when you're driving 60 or 70 miles an hour down the road is very, very unnerving. What'll happen is you'll feel that suction and the wheels will want to, the whole RV is wanting to follow the suction from that truck when it passes. Adding the steering stabilizer is gonna take some of that away. It's not gonna take it all away because you look at the size of the rig we have, you can only imagine how big of a steering stabilizer we'd have to have to have no movement and at that point, you wouldn't be able to turn it at all because it would be fighting you too much. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar on our 2018 Ford F-53 Chassis Motorhome. Now, whether you're new to driving a motor home or you've been doing it for a while, you'll realize real quickly how unstable they feel and just kind of how much body roll and uncomfortable the ride is. Because when we're going down the highway, let's face it, there's a lot of area here for that wind to catch, and we end up getting pushed around. So we end up fighting the steering wheel, trying to stay in our lane, or if we're going down some bumpy roads, we ended up getting jostled around. By the time when we get where we're going, we're extremely tired. Not to mention everybody in the back's getting tossed around. more

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2018 Ford F-53- Video
Today on our 2018 Ford F-53 Chassis Motorhome, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar, part number RM-1139-140. Having a motorhome can be great, but one thing that nobody really seems to talk about is how difficult it can be to drive sometimes. Because let's face it, we have a large area for wind to catch that can start pushing us around when we're driving down the road, which can be a little spooky for some people, and not that enjoyable.What our Roadmaster Anti Sway for side to side movement, what a good set of shocks would do for the up and down. It's going to take a lot of that pressure off, and we're not going to have so much wind, feeling like it's pushing us around, which means we can relax more and not fight that steering wheel. So here, you can see the difference between our factory sway bar and our new Roadmaster. Our factory one is going to be an inch and a half in diameter, whereas our Roadmaster is going to be an inch and three quarters in diameter. more

Today on our 2018 Ford F53 chassis motorhome, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar, part number RM-1139-146.Having a motor home can be very nice thing. But one thing that nobody really talks about is how difficult they can be to drive, and how much swing they get, and kinda that body roll. Especially when we're driving down the highway, a big crosswind comes by, and it starts pushing us around. Because let's face it, there's a lot of area for that wind to catch.That's where our Roadmaster anti-sway bar's going to come into play. It's going to reduce the amount that we're going to have to fight the steering wheel back and forth, which in then turn we can relax a little bit, have more confidence when we're driving down the road.So here's what our sway bar looks like once we have it installed. Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2018 Ford F-53- Video
Today on our 2018 Ford F53 Chassis Motor-home, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Road Master Reflex Steering Stabilizer, Part Number RM-RBK22-RSSA.A lot of things can cause our motor-home to veer, whether it be uneven pavement, a really strong crosswind, or even just the crown on the road. Once it starts to veer we have to fight that steering wheel to get our motor-home back to center. That can be extremely tiresome, especially on those long trips. Our Road Master Reflex Steering Stabilizer is going to minimize a lot of that. We're not gonna feel so tired, because we're not gonna have to fight the steering wheel trying to get it back to center.Here's where our steering stabilizer is gonna look like once we have it installed. Our steering stabilizer is gonna have this spring, when it's in the center position it'll have a little bit of tension, but once we turn one way the spring is gonna extend and naturally wanna come back to its resting state. more
