Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the best trailer wiring options for you in a 2017 Toyota 4Runner. The 4Runner is a more sporty or outdoorsy vehicle, so chances are you're probably gonna wanna haul something with it, especially if it has electric brakes. Or if you wanna do some over overlanding or some off-roading and you have some accessories on the back of here that require power, that's gonna be a few reasons why you're gonna need some wiring and how it's gonna accomplish that. There's gonna be two really common wiring types and that's gonna be your 7-pole and your 4-pole wiring. Now a lot of different 4Runners are gonna have different variations on this, and that's mainly gonna depend on what trim package you have.
