Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2011 Honda Odyssey 5506- Video

Today on our 2011 Honda Odyssey, we'll be installing the wiring necessary to connect the hot lead for our 7 pull trailer connector, part number 5506, and wiring to connect the reverse light circuit using the Deka 16 gauge wire, part number 16-1-1. First we'll need to locate the wiring to connect to. We'll go ahead and pull it down from above the hitch. Once we can gain access to it, we'll go ahead and remove the electrical tape covering it up. We'll need to locate 3 leads. A purple wire for reverse light circuit, a black wire for the hot lead, and a blue wire for the electric brake circuit, should it be hooked up in the future. Once we've located our wiring, we'll now move to the reverse light circuit on the vehicle that we'll need to connect to. more
