Now that our Thule Helium is secured to our Nissan Murano, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. We have about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 9 inches, and with the cradle arms folded down weve added about 19 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. Well now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out, and with the cradle arms out weve added about 30 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Well then move to the back of the shank where well tighten the knob down securing our bike rack to the vehicle and engaging our anti-rattle device.Well now go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 11, the bike rack at the rear of the vehicle lay flesh with each other. With the bike carrier in its folded position weve added eight inches to the overall length of our vehicle. SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano well be test fitting the SportRack Escape 3-Bike Carrier, part number A30403.To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our threaded pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt to the threaded pin holes, and tighten with a wrench.Lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike rack and this vehicle fit together. Theres about 13 inches of ground clearance; the closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 7 inches. Weve added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. To access the cargo area, pull the safety pin located at the base of the carrier and tilt the mast towards you. This will allow you to have access to your cargo door.To load the bike, pull the safety pin located at the top of the mast, pull the cradle arms towards you and undo the cradle straps. Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano well be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram Tilting 4-Bike Carrier, part number SR26247.To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our threaded pin holes, thread the anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pin holes and tighten with a wrench.Lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano, well be test fitting the Kuat Sherpa Aluminum 2-Bike Carrier, part number S102.To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch and turn the black handle located at the base of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device.Lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. Theres about 14 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about one inch. Weve added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.To access the cargo area, again, pull the gold handle located at the base of the carrier and tilt the carrier towards you. This will allow you to have access to your cargo door. Pro Series Q-Slot Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2011 Nissan Rogue, well be test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform-Style Bike Carrier, part number PS63134. Now to begin our test fit, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole, and install our hitch pin. Well then put the safety clip on the other side which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Now, well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 17 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches. We can now go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform and open our cargo door. more

However, when you use it with a class one receiver hitch, youre limited to carrying just two bikes This will also work with a 2-inch receiver hitches with the provided spacer. And on this vehicle today, well be working with a class 3 receiver hitch. Well start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, well slide it to position, make sure the integrated hitch pin goes into the hitch pinhole. Well pull it back and put some tension on it and then tighten down the anti-rattle knob. more

This bicycle rack will work with inch and receiver hitches like were going to use today in a class one and class two versions. This will also work with a 2 inch receiver hitch with the included spacer.Well go ahead by installing the rack into the hitch, tightening down the anti rattle bolt and then putting the safety clip on the other side. Well also be using a 3 inch wrench to tighten down the anti rattle bolt. That should give you a measurement, give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the vehicle and the bicycle rack and the ground. more

Today on our 2011 Nissan Sentra, we are going to do a test fit of the Thule Doubletrack Platform style 2 bike carrier. Lets go ahead and mount our rack into our 1-1/4 hitch. This bike carrier also comes with an adapter sleeve that will allow you to put in a 2 hitch. Once you get the hole lined up, we will install our anit-rattle bolt. The bolt can be tightened down with the applied wrench that comes with the install kit, or a wrench. Alright with the anti-rattle bolt tightened down we can go ahead and install our lock. more

Today were looking at a Nissan Sentra, were going to do a test fit of the SportRack 2 bike easy hitch mount rack with the wheel based mounts for inch and and 2 hitches, part number a30901. Lets go ahead and install our rack. Were setup to use 1-1/4 hitch, but if we had a 2 hitch we could use our adapter sleeve. First we will go ahead and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, Im using a wrench to tighten down that anti-rattle bolt. Now with the anti-rattle bolt tightened down, we will install our safety pin. :56 Today we are looking at a 2011 Nissan Sentra. Were going to do a test fit of the RoadGear 2 bike carrier for 1-1/4 hitch. First Im going to remove the 2 adapter so that our rack will fit our 1-1/4 hitch. Next will install our anti-rattle bolt and our safety pin. Our RoadGear rack will come with a tightening tool, but a wrench will work as well. Now that our rack is mounted in the hitch we will give you a couple of measurements. more
