Now what's great about this hitch is that it's tucked up nice and tight against our bumper to give this optimal ground clearance. This here is the factory Jeep hitch that came off of this vehicle. A lot of people find that the factory hitch is not a good hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers, especially folding bike racks which store upright against the spare tire. First thing you'll notice about this hitch is we have plenty of clearance around our bumper and our spare tire, making this hitch a great candidate for those of you that have class one or class two bike racks and cargo carriers. This hitch will work great for you.On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry standard half-inch diameter hitch pin hole, secure hitch mounted accessories. Welded on the bottom of our receiver are tubular steels safety chain loops to attach the safety chains from our trailer. Fairly decent sized opening so we shouldn't have much problem, if any at all, hooking on most safe chains. At the end of our receiver you find this collar that's welded on to reinforce the opening of the receiver and give us a nice finished look.This hitch features a 300 pound max tongue weight rating, which is amount forcing down, and a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class Two Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 36424.So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. Now, it is gonna stick out just right below our bumper, and it's not gonna be beyond the spare tire, but it is gonna stick out quite a ways, which is actually gonna be a good thing because we're not gonna have to have such an extended shank on any of our accessories. So that bike rack or cargo carrier is gonna be a lot easier to get in, and not have to worry about the spare tire interfering.Now it is a Class Two hitch, which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It does have that nice reinforced collar, giving it an overall finished look and a little bit more added strength.The way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is gonna be through the hitch pin hole here in the side. It's gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip. They're not included, but you can pick some up on our website using part number PC2.For the safety chain connection point, it's gonna be a loop-style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

It is a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, and it does have a nice reinforced collar, giving it a clean look and added strength. Our hitch is going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip, which is going to be the larger hole toward the front of our vehicle. They're not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now the secondary hole towards the back of our receiver tube, that's going to be for the J-pin stabilization device, which is great if any of your accessories for your hitch don't have a built-in anti-rattle. As far as safety chain loop, it's going to be a plate style welded on either side of our receiver tube. more

Now we're going to have two sets of holes. The forward one or towards the front of the vehicle is going to be our hitch pin and clip. It's going to use a standard 5/8" pin and clip. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed on our Jeep. All we're really going to see is our receiver tube opening and some safety chain loops. Now, this is a class III hitch, so it's going to give you that 2 inch by 2 inch opening. It's going to have a nice reinforced collar, giving you that nice look. Now, if we come to the side here, the forward-most hole is going to be your pin hole, and it's going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now, one is not included in our kit but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. more

See we've got our plate that's going to come around here, that leads right here into the middle of our inch a quarter by inch and a quarter tube. It's going to give us our opening, and of course our reinforcement collar, there around the end. Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to do a review and in that of the Draw-Tite Class 2 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 36424. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully-welded construction with a nice, black powder coated finish. This is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube in the pre-drilled 1/2" hole on each side. We also have our chain hole down on each side. You'll notice that the receiver tube extends out past the back bumper so that we can accommodate for rear-mounted spare tires. Now this hitch is capable of up to 300 pounds in tongue weight, and 3,500 pound tow capacity. more

Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. This is a really nice hitch in that the only thing truly exposed is our chain hold downs and our receiver tube. Our hitch is a fully welded construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. On each side of the receiver tube will be a 5/8 pinhole for your hitch pin, and a 1/2" hole pre-drilled on each side for an anti-rattle lock. This is a class three 2" by 2" receiver tube. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to install part number 9883544 from Curt. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Jeep. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. Top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about twenty-four inches. Now you will note that this vehicle does come with a variety of different tire sizes, so this measurement may vary from a stock vehicle. Now from the center of our hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the spare tire is going to be about fifteen inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you the hitches installed. more

Alright, here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the spare tire is 5-1/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground gives us 19-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Now, lets go ahead and install the hitch. Alright, my first step is going to be lower the exhaust. more
