Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this 24 inch long, 3/8 inch thermoplastic high pressure hose, with the 3/8 inch female flare swivel ends. Now this is a 3/8 inch inside diameter general purpose hose assembly, and it's used for LP and natural gas connections. The length on this is 24 inches long. We mentioned on each end it has the 3/8 inch size female flare swivels and the wrench size that you use to tighten those down is three quarters of an inch. I mentioned it's a thermoplastic construction. more

MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Type 1 Valve T-Fitting Review- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the MB Sturgis T-Fitting for type one valves. So our T-Fitting here is gonna have two main uses. The first use is gonna be to add an auxiliary tank to our trailer here. So whether we want to preserve the onboard propane tanks we have, or if they run out, we don't want to head into town yet, we do have an extra tank nearby. We can hook it up to our trailer and run the oven inside, whatever we have that runs off propane using this T-fitting here. So we want to hook up our portable grill here to our trailer, but we can't use the quick disconnect pour on the trailer. more

A.J.: What's up, everybody It's A.J. with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out this propane hose from MB Sturgis. Now this is going to be used to connect your regulator to your propane tank with an inverted connection and a POL connection.I know I said POL and inverted connection, but what does that actually mean POL screws inside your propane tank instead of the other type one connection that has the plastic around the outside that you can turn and tighten it up that way. This one goes inside, which means it has a bigger valve as well so that more propane can get out of the tank and into your regulator. And on the inverted side, it just means that this is a little bit smaller of a connection, and that's what fits our regulator.We have an inverted regulator, so you just want to match the connection types to what you're plugging it into. more

This is going to allow you to connect to your propane tank on this end with your POL fitting, which will use the inner threads on your nozzle, your propane tank. That just easily screws in there. You're not going to need a wrench, or anything, just that little hand wheel tightened down in place. And then, you have these two male type one output fittings that you can easily hook your hose onto and screw onto those, so that you can run two propane powered appliances at the same time. So if, for instance, you're out cooking at your campsite you're wanting to use your barbecue grill and your cooktop stove you should be able to use both of those from the one tank. more

Review of Camco Propane - Hoses - CAM59073- Video

Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Camco 20" long propane supply hose with the Type 1 ACME nut on one end and the 1/4" inverted male flare on the other end. Now this is a 20" long supply hose that'll let you connect an auxiliary propane cylinder to your RV or trailer's propane regulator. The Type 1 ACME nut right here will connect to an ACME or POL connection on your propane tank, and on the other end is a 1/4" inverted male flare that'll connect to the 1/4" inverted female flare on your propane regulator. It does provide thermal protection in case of fire and excess flow protection in case of a broken gas line. This hose is rated for 200,000 BTUs an hour, and they do use brass fittings to help resist rust and corrosion.But that should do it for the review on the Camco 20" long propane supply hose with the Type 1 ACME nut on one end and the 1/4" inverted male flare on the other end.. more

Today we're going to take a look at the MB Sturgis 5th Wheel Quick Disconnect Sturgi-Stay propane adapter kit.Now this adapter kit lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to the propane system on your 5th Wheel Camper or Travel Trailer. You can use your auxiliary cylinder as your propane supply to power your appliances. The T fitting, this part right here, will connect in line between your tank valve, and on this side your pressure regulator. Right up here is the Model 250 quick-disconnect port on the T fitting, and this'll let you easily hook up and disconnect the included fill holes without any tools.The quick-disconnect hose securely snaps into your port. You can see right here if you take your covers off, and then you have a little lever here, it has a shutoff lever on this quick-disconnect port and this'll allow you to completely shut off the gas supply, uses a ball valve which prevents disconnection when the levers in the on position so you can see it won't move to disconnect. To connect it, you just move it that way and it allows you to do a quick-disconnect. more

Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products Propane Tank Connector Fitting.This is going to allow you to hook up to your LP gas cylinder. This is a POL fitting here, it's pretty standard for most of your LP gas cylinders. Uses the interior thread so you will have to tighten it counter-clockwise and loosen it clockwise, which is a little bit counterintuitive to those of us who know the righty-tighty, lefty-loosey method, but it shouldn't take too much concentration to get that screwed in.You will need some tools to get that tightened down, because it doesn't have a turn wheel or anything like that, but you will notice it's got the O-ring here on the tip to make sure that we're getting a nice tight seal. We don't have to worry about any leaks at this end. And then it's going to adapt to a male quarter inch NPT fitting. more

On this end has the soft nose POL connection and on the other end is a quarter inch male NPT connector.Now this tank connector lets you hook up a regulator or a high pressure hose, TRVs LP tank. The POL fitting allows a high flow rate before entering the bypass mode. Allows you to power all of your RVs appliances at once. The built-in bypass mode shuts the gas off when the flow reaches maximum capacity for safety. Does have an excess flow safety device which will limit the gas flow in the event of a severe leak and you notice it has the O-ring to ensure a nice tight seal with the tank.It is UL and CSA certified and this part is designed for LP gas only. more
