Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue hr8500- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler. This is going to be your hanging style four bike rack, part #HR8500. Now as you can see we've already got our bike here so you can see what it would look like with your bike on here when it is full installed. Moving down to the front side of the rack we'll start off by giving some measurements starting with our closest ones first. You will see that you're going to have that angled bracket here. Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat NV. This is a platform style 4 bike rack. They've designed it for use with 2 inch hitches. It will tilt away from the vehicle allow you to often open your hatch with the bike still loaded and it's also going to tilt up against the rear of the vehicle to make storage convenient. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Pro Series Q Slot. This is a 2 and 4 bike rack either interchangeable to and addition onto the floor. It is for 2 inch hitches only and part number PS63138. We'll go ahead and insert this into our 2 inch class 3 hitch we have here today. Once we get it inserted, let's go ahead and line up our pin holes. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we're going to be doing a test fit on the Tulle Vertex Swing. This is a platform style swing away four bike rack. It's been designed for use in 2 in hitches. The part number on it is TH9031XT. Now to begin our test fit on it we're going to slide our shank right into the receiver tube of the hitch. You'll see we've got an oblong hole on this side. On the other side is a threaded hole so we'll line these holes up with the hitch pinhole. I'm then going to take the provided anti-rattle bolt and thread it in here on the other side. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2007 nissan murano- Video
Today on our 2007 Nissan Murano we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero 2-bike rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number TH9042. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank into the hitch on our vehicle. This does have a self-locking hitch pin and we'll pull that out, insert that shank and that pin will go right into place. You'll then want to tighten down the anti-rattle device. Tightening this down is going to help remove any extra play in the shank of the rack, which is going to help to eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. With that tightened down we'll get a couple of measurements. The closest part of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here at the back. That measures just 6 1/2 inches. more

Today on our 2007 Nissan Murano, we are going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number TH934XTR. Sometimes you might have to set the rack around a little bit to get it in the spot we're it doesn't line the bolt up. We'll get that hand tight and then we'll finish it off with our wrench. more

Saris Thelma 3 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Saris Thelma platform-style hitch-mounted 3-bike rack, part number SA4239B. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll need to take the anti-rattle bolt and thread it into the pin holes from the left-hand side. After tightening it with a wrench, the bike rack is secured, and we'll go over a few measurements. We have about 18" of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4" away, and we've added about 14" to the overall length of our Xterra. We can now remove the gold pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the platform down. more

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Sport Rack Super EZ Platform Style Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number SR2901LR. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down using a wrench, and then secure it with the lock on the other side. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. From the back of the bike rack, we have about 14-1/4" of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4" away, and we've added about 20" to the overall length of our Rogue. To access the cargo area, we'll need to remove the three black pins at the base of the bike rack. We'll fold down the two wheel trays and the mast. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll need to make sure the mast of the rack is in its upright position. more

Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 5 inches away and we've added about 18 inches to the overall length of our Rouge. more

Softride Hang5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Soft Ride Hang 5 hitch mounted 5 bike rack for 2 inch hitches part number SR26496. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread our anti rattle bolt into the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and slide the arms into the mast. We are going to be installing it this way as the bike rack weights up to about 110 pounds when fully assembled. Separating the 2 pieces will allow us an easier installation. more

Thule Vertex Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2007 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2007 Nissan Murano, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4-Bike Rack 4-1/4" and 2" hitches part number TH9029. We'll being our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our Murano. You'll want to watch for the hitch pinholes to line up. With those in line, we can take the included threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt and tread that into place. We'll get this hand tight and then we can finish it off with our wrench. Tightening this down is going to take the extra play out of the shank of the rack, which helps eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. The closest part of the Vertex to the vehicle is going to be the top of the base here. That's going to measure about 5" to the closest part of the bumper. Overall, we've added nearly 13" to the rear of the Murano. The ground clearance is around 12-1/2". By pulling the large gray lever here on the back of the mast, we're able to tilt the Vertex away from the Murano, which is going to give us full access to our rear cargo area. This is nice for loading or unloading any items you might be taking along with you. To get it back into position, we'll pull up on the lever, push upwards on it until it snaps in to place. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FullTilt. This is a 4-bike rack and it fits inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches. Part Number is Y02462. As you can see, the anti-rattle device does move around so it is helpful to keep a hand on it as you insert it just to make sure it slides in smoothly. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. With those in line, you can take the included threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt, and get that hand tight. Sometimes you have to wiggle the rack around to get it in the right position, so that the bolt will thread in freely. Once you have it hand tight, you can finish it off with your wrench. Tightening this anti-rattle bolt down helps to take any extra play out of the shank of the rack, which is going to help eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. The closest part of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here at this loop on the back of the mast. That's going to measure about 6 inches from the bumper. Overall, you've added about 15 inches to the rear of the Quest, and the ground clearance comes to about 9 inches. By removing the pin and clip here on the back, you're actually going to be able to tilt this away from the vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Quest, we are going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero 2 Bike Rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches part number TH9042. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on the vehicle. Now notice here it does have it's own self locking hitch pin, we'll pull that over, slide the shank in, we go ahead and we resuscitate the anti rattle device here that way we can slide it in and once you have the hitch pin locked down, you go ahead and tighten the knob here. Tightening this down will help take any extra play out of the shank of the rack which help to eliminate movement over all as you are going down the road. The closest part of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here at the back, that's going to measure about 6 1/2 inches from the bumper. Overall we've added about 18 inches to the rear of the Quest and our ground clearance comes to about 10 inches. A nice feature of this rack offers is it's ability to tilt away. more

We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of our rack into our hitch. You'll want to pull the pin out. That way it can slide in, and then the self-locking pin locks it into place. We'll then tighten down our anti-rattle device. This will help take any extra play out of the shank of the rack, helping to eliminate movement overall. more

Thule Vertex Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2011 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2011 Nissan Murano, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4-Bike rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches - Part Number TH9029. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of our rack into our hitch. You'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. Once you have those in line, you can go ahead and insert the hitch pin bolt. Go ahead and get this hand tight and then we can finish it off with a wrench. Tightening this down will help to take any extra play out of the shank of the rack, which helps to eliminate movement overall going down the road. As you can see, we're nice and tight there. The closest point of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here at the base. more

Softride Element Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram, 4 bike rack, part number Sr26248. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll notice that there are two hitch pin holes, we're going to go ahead and use the one that's going to give us the most clearance. Once those are lined up, we'll take the threaded hitch bolt and thread that into place. We'll go ahead and get this hand tight, we'll then use our wrench to tighten it up the rest of the way. Tightening this down is going to help remove any play from the shank of the rack, which helps to eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. The closest point of the rack to the vehicle is going to be at the back of the mast. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero. This is a folding and tilting 2 bike rack. They've designed it for use with the 1 1/4 or the 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is TH9042. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do, we're going to hold out on the attached pin here on the right side, line up our pin holes and place the attached pin into the pin holes. We'll then tighten the black knob. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. Now come around here to the passenger side. We've got two sets of pinholes in the rack, one here and one here. I'm going to use the furthest set so we can get it as far away from our vehicle as possible. more
