Today on this 2016 Nissan Ultima, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Roadway 2-Bike Rack, part number TH912XTR. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike attach to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have 2 strap up at the top here and 1 off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, to keep it from hitting the vehicle or damaging the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now, with the bike rack in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. Measuring from the bumper, which is the furthest point out, to this edge here, we've added about 26-1/2 inches. more

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on this 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to be test fitting the Kuat NV 4-Bike Platform Rack, part number N105-107. As you can see we already have a bike attached to the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, the first feature is going to be the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached to it. To do that, we'll go to the passenger here where there's a silver handle. We'll pull that out while holding onto the bike rack and gently let it come forward. With that done, we can actually have full access to our rear hatch to get whatever we need. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Pathfinder ETTHT2P-2- Video

Today on our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro Two Bike Platform Rack. One feature that I really like about this rack is that with this bike rack with your bike on it, you're able to tilt it away in order to gain access to your rear cargo area. As you can see, we're able to gain full access with this bike on here in order to get anything you may have such as groceries or luggage. To put it back into position, all you do is lift up on the handle and let it snap into place. With this bike rack, it makes no frame contact in order to hold the bike in place. It's got a rear wheel strap down here, then it's also get a front wheel hook in order to keep it tight into that wheel cradle. We're going to go ahead and get this bike off of here. You just squeeze on this gray tab and inside of the hook. more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That's part number TH9034. We have this rear strap going over our rear wheel and then at the front we've got a large wheel hook going over the front tire putting down pressure into the wheel cradle. All in all there is no frame contact with this bike rack. One of the best features about this bike rack is it has the ability to tilt away with both bikes loaded so we can gain access to our rear hatch. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Nissan Murano TH912XTR- Video

Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano we'll be taking a look at the Thule Roadway 2 Bike Rack, part number TH912XTR. With the bike on here you can say that it's held down in 3 spots by these straps. You got the 2 up top and then 1 anti-sway down here. We're going to go ahead and take the bike off, and now with the bike out of the way we will replace our straps and then we'll take a look at what else this bad guy can do. This one, if you pull this gray lever right here it will fold it down so that if you're going into your garage or your anywhere that is tight, parking spaces, that gives you a little bit better fit. Now with these arms folded down see how far it sticks out from the rear, it adds about 11-1/2 total inches to it. With the arms up it adds about 24-1/2 inches to the total length of the vehicle. Now once nice feature about this is that if with it down you can actually pull this gray lever down here and tilt it away from the vehicle to get better access to your cargo area. more

We will lean, hit the button with our foot or the lever with our foot, and I will be able to tilt this away. We are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. We will close this up and then to put our bike rack back into place, we will simply lift up until it clicks. As for how our bike is secure, we have a ratchet strap here in the back. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Pathfinder- Video

Today on our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, we are doing a test fit of the Swagman XC Platform Style 2-Bike, that part number is S64650. We already have our bike secured down, first going to show you how we do that. Holding our bike in place we have a single frame hook here that's going to hold our bike down into our wheel cradles. Be cautious because we don't have any wheel straps for our wheel cradles. I can tell you that a lot of customers have used this bike rack and that they are confident that your bike won't come out of those wheel cradles. We are just going to release that hook, and pull out bike off of our rack and set it off to the side. Then I also like to lower my frame hooks once I get my bike removed. Overall to our vehicle we are adding about 21", our ground clearance is going to be about 16 1/4" and our closest point is going to be on this rear shank, about 8". We do have the option to rotate our mast down, to do so we will remove our pin here in the center. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video

Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Curt Premium folding and tilting 4 bike rack. Now this has been designed for use with 2 inch hitches, part number on it is C18064. Something really unique about the rack is going to be the taper that's in the cradle arms. We've got a wider set here on the front and then you can see a narrow set here on the back for smaller bikes or maybe high ridge style bikes. Gives us some options as far as mounting goes. Also the 2 reflectors there on the end they're going to keep it nice and visible. Now in each position regardless if it's in the narrow or the wider position we're going to have 3 straps holding our bikes to the cradles. more

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rouge, we'll be having a look at the Kuat Transfer 3-bike platform rack for 1 1/4 and 2-inch hitches. That's part number TS03G. As you can see, we already have a bike mounted on it. One of the nice features about this rack is we can gain access to the rear hatch while our bike is still on it by pressing down this lever here in the front of it, lowering the assembly arm down and we will have full access to the hatch to put anything in or get anything else that we may need. Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting 4 Bike Rack for inch and quarter and two inch hitches. One thing about hanging bike racks is normally you can't fold the rack down to gain access to the rear hatch of your vehicle once the bike is installed. However, on this particular model you can. In order to do that, there is a black handle on the right hand side of it, just go ahead and pull it out and lower it on down. With that down, as you can see, we have full access to the rear of our vehicle to get anything in and out that we may need. Just go ahead and close this up and get this back into normal position for going down the road. Once you hear that click, it is back in the upright and locked position. The bike is held in place with two rubber straps here in the front, here in the back. more

To do this, you go to the front here on this gray handle, pull in like that, holding onto the bike rack, letting it come down, and now we have full access to the rear hatch to get whatever we need. Now, one of the advantages of this rack is the fact that it has this handle on the end as opposed to trying to go through the bikes to get to that handle. Lift it back in place and it's locked in. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, there's going to be no actual frame contact with this. more

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we'll be having a look at the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style 2 Bike and 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's go over a couple quick key features of it. It has 3 contact points which secures the bike to the carrier. We have the frame hook here, and then we have the 2 tire caddies that have hook and loop straps that wrap around the tires to hold them into place. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and make a couple quick measurements here. First thing you'll want to do is loosen both of these knots on either side. more

Today on this 2016 Nissan Rogue, we're going to best fitting the Swagman XC2 bike rack, part number S64650. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're only going to have one point of contact with the bike's frame and that's going to be at the top here with the frame hook. It is padded, so it makes sure that your bike doesn't get scratched or marred up while you're installing it. It also has two wheel cradles, which are adjustable to fit a wide variety of bikes. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video

Today on this 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to be test fitting the Curt Premium 4-bike rack, part number C18064. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, you're going to have 3 points of contact with the frame. We're going to have 2 straps up at top here, as well 1 off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving to far back and forth, possibly hitting either the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Also it has these nice narrowed arms here to accommodate different style and size bikes as well without having to use an adapter bar. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Frontier- Video

Today on our 2016 Nissan Frontier, we'll be doing a test for the Curt Premium Tilting 4 Bike Rack. That's part number C18064. So as you can see I've already got it loaded on the back of the Frontier, just to give you a good idea what it's going to look like. It is a hanging style bike rack as you can see. Our bike is going to secured in three spots. We have two straps for the top tube here, and then we have a strap for the down tube. The one for our down tube is going to help prevent a lot of sway in the bike when we're on the road. more

Today on this 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Roadway two bike rack, part number TH912XTR. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look at it and show off some of the features. Now how this bike is attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with your bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up top here and one off to the side, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep it from going back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now it's always good practice once you take the straps just to put them back on just because you don't want to lose the while you're driving and you don't want them flapping around while you're driving. more
