Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman E-Bike Two Bike Platform Rack. It's going to be part number S64689. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features. Something unique about this bike rack, like I said in the name, it's designed to be able to carry up to two E-Bikes weighing up to 70 pounds each, so it's a lot more durable for your heavier bikes.If we come in closer, starting from the outside and going in, we have a cradle for the front, and the rear tires. These cradles do not pivot back and forth, they're stationary in that aspect, but if you loosen this knob right here, you can slide it back and forth to accommodate any type of length that your bike might have and then you simply tighten it back up, and it's ready to go. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Light 4 bike rack, and it's going to be part number INH640. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features. Starting from the outside and working our way in, we have an integrated cable locking system that reaches out from the base of the rack and stretches over your bikes and can simply be inserted into the lock in order to prevent any type of theft from occurring on your bike. Your bike rack is going to come with a set of keys for when your cable lock is in use. You simply slide this tab up, you can turn the key in there, and it will release the cable lock in order to help you unload your bikes.At a closer look at these cradles, you can see they pivot from side to side to accommodate any size frame you might have, and they shift back and forth in order to help you with the spacing of your bikes when you have it fully loaded. If we look over here, we have three different points of contact on our bike securing it to our bike rack. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, we're going to be test fitting our Swagman Quad 2+2, two bike and four bike platform rack, for two inch hitches. It's going to be part number S64692. As you can see we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features. One I would like to point out that makes this platform rack particularly unique, is that while we have it as a four bike rack currently, there's a bolt on this side of the rack that we can take off and pull off half of the addition of it, making it a two bike rack. For now, we'll just leave it in place.We'll work from the outside in, if we look at these cradles, while they cannot pivot back and forth, they can be slid across the rack to adjust to any type of length your bike might need. You simply loosen this knob, now you can slide it back and forth to suit whatever bike you want to put on, and now you tighten it back. more

Moving onto the cradles, they are going to be stationary, meaning they can't move back and forth, but they do have this cushioned TPE cushion. That's going to help absorb the shock and help protect the frame of your bike while traveling. The bottoms, or I should say the tops, of our zip strips are also padded to provide that extra protection as well. more

So let's go ahead and take a look at some of the features here. Now the most prominent feature about this bike rack is how it can tilt away. When you have a hanging style bike rack, if you want to get rear hatch access, normally, you have to remove all the bikes and tilt it away and that's how you get to it or you can purchase a swing out version where you would swing the bike rack out completely with all four bikes attached to get rear hatch access and that can be a little bit of a hassle. But with this, you're able to tilt it or glide it away with all four bikes attached with no problems. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Transfer 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TS02G. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Its most prominent feature is the fact that it can tilt away with both bikes still attached. What makes it unique in that sense is that it has a foot pedal to do so as opposed to a pin that you have to come up to the front and try to get around two bikes to get to. What we'll do is we'll come to the peddle here, push down with our foot holding onto the bike rack, and letting it tilt forward. With that done, we're able to gain full rear hatch access with no problem and plenty of space on either side to get what we need, but also plenty of space in between our handlebars and the hatch as well, so there's not going to be any possibility of contact in that area.To put it back up, you just simply lift up on the bike rack, never the bike, until you hear that click. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Trax, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman XT 2-bike rack, part number S64650. This can be used with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. We already have a bike installed on the rack so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike attaches to the rack, we're going to have one point of contact. That's going to be the padded frame hook up at the top which will hold the bike in place. It is padded to ensure that the frame itself doesn't damaged once it's being installed. We also have adjustable wheel cradles by loosening and tightening these knobs to accommodate loading and to accommodate bikes of different sizes. The bike rack also has a raised shank so even if your hitch sits particularly low to the ground, you're not going to have an issue of clearance between your bike rack and the ground. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack, part number TH934XTR. Now, we already have our bike securely mounted to our bike rack, and we're going to have three points of contact. Two on our top cross bar here, and one vertical support back here. Now, the way we're going to take this off is we just have some rubber straps, so we can go ahead and pull our straps off on the top. With all of them removed we can pull our bike off and set it aside. Now, these hold fast cradles as you can see, they have some grooves in there, and that's what's going to hold your bike securely. The one on the vertical support here, this is going to act as an anti-sway cradle, preventing any bike to bike contact. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevy Silverado, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule T-2 Classic Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9044. Now, one of the nice features of this bike rack is that you can actually tilt the bike rack away, without having to remove the bike. Simply remove this pin, pull down on the lever, and the bike rack will tilt away, giving you full access to the bed, without having to remove it. Get anything in or out that you may need. To lock the bike rack back in place, simply lift up, it'll click, and replace the pin. Now as you can see here, we already have our bike installed on the bike rack. Up front here we have a hook that attaches to the tire, and back here we have a strap that holds the wheel. more

Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy 4 bike rack for 2 inch hitches. Part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look, and show off some of the features. The best feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing out away from the vehicle so you can gain hatch access without having to remove your bikes. To do that, loosen up this knob here in the back. While it doesn't make contact with the bumper itself, just be careful as you undo this. There we go. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we are going to be test fitting the Thule vertex swing for bike rack, for two inch hitches. Part number TH9031XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature of this bike rack is of course, the fact that it can swing away from the vehicle so you don't have to remove the bikes to get to your rear hatch. To do that, we'll loosen this turn knob here at the back all the way, then we'll lift up on this T handle, oh, excuse me, we'll lift upon this T handle first and remove it. Lift up on this one, as well and start to swing it out. When we get to this point here, you want to turn the main mast portion towards this point here, lift up on the T handle, and lock it into place. more

Today on 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat NV 2.0 Two-Bike Rack, Part Number NV22G. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most important feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do that, we have this latch here, which is a little bit easier to get to, pull it towards us holding on to the bike rack and letting it come down. Now with it tilted away, we have full access to the rear hatch to get whatever we need with plenty of space on either side to do so. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Traverse S64650- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be testing the Swagman XC-2 Bike Rack, part number F64650. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually hooked onto this rack, we're going to have one point of contact, and that's going to be this padded frame hook up at the top. That's going to ensure that your bike doesn't get scratched up once you get it installed. We also have these wheel wells here at the base, if you loosen up these knobs, they do adjust along the length of the bike rack. So they fit in things a little easier, but also to accommodate different sized bikes. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack for number TH9034. We already have the bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now the first and most important feature of this rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do that, there's this great handle up at the front. You pull towards you and let it come down, which is a little bit more convenient than other racks that usually have the latches up towards the front. It can make it a little awkward to lower them out of the way. Let's go ahead and do that. more
