This is gonna be used in situations where you're wanting to flat tow your vehicle behind your RV or motor home so that you have a runaround vehicle once you get to your campsite. But your vehicle is going to require a fuse to be pulled in order to flat tow it. So it's not going to be for every vehicle out there but there are some vehicles that require you to have it in the arm position so that your steering wheel doesn't lock up. Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Curt Fuse Bypass Switch. This is going to make it much easier for you to disconnect a fuse from your vehicle. So this is gonna be used in those situations where you're wanting to flat-tow your vehicle behind your motor home or RV so that you have a run-around vehicle once you get to the campsite or destination. Some vehicles out there, depending on the make and model, will require your vehicle to be on so that your steering wheel won't lock up, and in most of those cases you are gonna have to pull a fuse, otherwise that will drain your battery so when you get to your destination, you'll have a dead battery and you won't be able to go anywhere. So for those instances where you are gonna have to remove the fuse, this is going to be a great option for you. It's gonna make it a lot easier for you to make that disconnection so you don't have a dead battery but you don't have to worry about manually removing the fuse every time you're going to tow it. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and shown you how to install the Roadmaster Diode seven to four wire wiring kit here on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So, our diode wiring kit and our most basic form, it's gonna transfer the signals from our motor home to our towed vehicle. Now, the reason we need to do this is, it's gonna really allow us to remain up to code for all local state rules and regulations. So, while we're in our motor home and we're signaling to others, what we're gonna be doing, we're obviously not gonna be able to see the taillights on the motor home, or at least not very well for those behind you. Therefore, we need to transfer those signals over here to our towed vehicle. So, others on the road can see what we're doing. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Curt ATM mini fuse bypass switch for towed vehicles. Now some vehicles can only be towed if you get under the hood and pull a fuse. And if you don't remove that fuse before towing there's a good chance that your car's battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination. So, you can use this fuse disconnect system to prep your vehicle to be towed. Basically what you do is simply relocate the car's fuse, that's indicated in your vehicle's owner's manual with this bypass, and then you flip this integrated switch on this end to be able to tow it or to drive the car. more

Hi there Ford owners, today on your 2012 Ford F150, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Diode wiring kit. These kits are available in a few different combinations depending on the cable that you would want to use for its connection, you can either get a coiled cable, a hybrid coiled to straight cable, a completely straight cable, these are all six bolt connections. There's also a four pole cable available and you can get it with no cable at all. And that's just gonna determine which one is gonna work best for you. It is based on the tow bar you get, whether the tow bar has channels or not. If it does have channels, I'd recommend a straight cable. more

We're gonna have our braking system, our tow bar, our safety cables, our wiring, and our base plate. Now in the 2018 Ford Edge, when it's being flat towed, it requires the key to be in the on position. When the key's in the on position while it's being flat towed, it could potentially run your battery down if you're going on a long trip. You can disconnect your battery each time you wanna flat tow it, or, what I recommend is Roadmaster's battery shut-off. more

So this is what our diode wiring kit is going to look like installed. As you can see here, we're actually using the factory taillights and taillight bulbs. Our diode kit is designed to do is allow our towed vehicle to receive light functions from our RV, so there we're legal and we're safe while we're driving down the road. We're going to have a plug that mounts on the front of our towed vehicle, we'll have wiring that runs through the back of the vehicle, behind each taillight, where we connect our diodes. As I mentioned, our diode kit is going to allow our towed vehicle or our Jeep to receive light functions from the motor home, so that we're safe when we're driving. more

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Roadmaster FuseMaster fuse bypass switch for towed vehicles with the 50 amp FMX fuse. Now this kit will include everything laid out here on the table. It includes the fuse controller, the switch itself with the labels, the wire harness with the small fuse holder, the large red wire with the FMX fuse holder, a large black wire, and then all the installation hardware you need to install it. Does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how everything installs.Now, basically what happens is some cars can be towed only if you get under the hood and pull a fuse our fuses. more

So you might be asking yourself, "Why do I need a FuseMaster" or, "What is a FuseMater" In short-term, the FuseMaster is simply pulling the fuse without actually doing it. It's easy as a flip of a switch. So you don't actually have to pull that fuse every time you want a flat tow. And it is required, because we do have to pull a fuse to flat tow our Honda every time we hook up. more
