Before we kinda check the tow bar out itself and really kind of dig into it, I figured it would be useful just to kind of refresh yourselves on the five main components that we're going to need to flat tow a vehicle behind our motor home in the first place. First component is going to be a base plate, and that base plate is going to provide us with a solid and reliable connection point that way we can hook our tow bar up to it. Hi there, motorhome owners. Today, on your 2021 Ford F-53 chassis motorhome, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Nighthawk tow bar. These are available in two options, depending on the base plate you have. If you have a Roadmaster base plate, you'll wanna get the regular Roadmaster option that will connect directly to a direct connect Roadmaster base plate. If you have a Blue Ox base plate, then I would recommend getting the Blue Ox version, which is gonna have all the same features but it's gonna have the Blue Ox ends on there, so it'll connect directly to your Blue Ox base plate. And it's probably my top pick, especially if you're gonna be going with a direct connect solution. more

So there's going to be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Ranger down the road. First one's going to be your base plate, and that's going to provide us with a solid and reliable connection point that way we can hook our tow bar up to it. A tow bar is going to be the second component and that's going to be the physical link that connects the front of your Ranger to the back of your motor home.
