Now this is lockable and you can replace it with a lock core here to secure your bike to the bike rack, and it's also lockable up at the top side here to secure your bike rack to the roof rack as well.With everything installed as it is, unfortunately, we're not going to be able to open up our rear hatch all the way. As you can see, it's gonna make contact right around this area here, although there is plenty of space to get some of the things you need with it open this much.Let's go and take our bike off and set it aside. We'll start by pushing up the top tab here at the rear, release the strap and then holding onto the bike, we'll release our skewer mount here and loosen that up. more

This will also work with 12, 15 and 20 millimeter through axles and we have this TorqueRight knob on the other side here which is holding our skewer in place and this is to prevent you from over or under tightening it to the rack.With everything installed as it is, unfortunately, we can't open our hatch all the way as it will make contact with our bike rack right about there. Yakima ForkChop Roof Bike Rack Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima ForkChop Roof Bike Rack, part number: Y02117. The Yakima ForkChop is a great fork-mounted bike rack that can fit a wide variety of bikes, and also fit on a wide variety of roof racks and cargo baskets. And what's most unique about this bike rack is that it's two separate pieces, and not one long tray. Therefore, if you wanted to put this in a cargo basket, if the cargo basket's loaded up, you're not gonna have any hindrances in between. And the same thing with roof systems that have their sunroofs, it's not gonna hinder that, as well. Right now we have a fork-mount bike, which is connected by the included lockable 9mm skewer, but this will also fit 12 and 15mm thru-axles, as well as fat bike tires with tire sizes up to 5" wide. more

Speaker 1: Today we're with the 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon. We're going to be test-fitting the Yakima high speed bike rack, part number YZ2115. Instead, we're going to have a fork mount up at the front with this clamp that holds it in place, as well as a strap towards the rear that ratchets into place and keeps that where it need to be.With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the bike rake and our hatch, as you can see here. And also, at the back we have an integrated cable lock with an option to get a lock core, if you want to secure your bike to the bike rack. And there's also a lock towards the front here at this point because as you turn this, that's what keeps this fork mount in place and you can secure that to the bike rack as well.How it attaches to the roof-rack system, we're going to have these rubber-coated steel straps that wrap around and clamp into place up on top, like so. more

Here it is on our test course. We'll start by going through the slalom. This is gonna show us the side-to-side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Next, we're at the alternating speed bumps, which will see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement. Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino Rack MountainTrail rooftop bike rack, part number RBC035. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike attaches to the rack, we're not gonna have any frame contact at all, instead we're going to have this wheel strap at the rear, which is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Closer to the front, we have this skewer that will grip your bike by the fork mounts and hold it in place and this has a lock on it already so you can actually secure your bike to the bike rack once everything's installed properly. With everything installed as it is, we're not gonna have any issues of clearance between our rear hatch and the bike rack as you can see here, there's plenty of space. So, let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. To do that, we'll first release the rear strap by pushing in the top portion of the tab and pushing up. Then going up towards the front, while holding onto the bike so it doesn't fall into the vehicle, we'll release front skewer mount, like so, and grab our bike. How this actually attaches to the roof rack, we're going to have this padded bracket here with the two turn knobs to tighten up against our rear crossbar. more

Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack Review Y02114- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack, part number Y02114. The Yakima HighRoad is a great bike rack that can hold up to one bike on your roof. Instead of having to remove your front tire for a fork mount, this actually grips it by your front tire as well as your rear tire. Therefore, there's no frame contact at all as well. The rear wheel strap here is adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Then we also have this Torque-Rite knob at the front. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2006 Honda CR-V- Video

We already have our bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. At the rear, we'll have this wheel strap here, which is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Then, up at the front, we have this skewer mount which will grip your bike by its fork mounts. With everything installed as it is right now, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack, as you can see here. RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks Review - 2006 Honda CR-V- Video

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2006 Honda CR-V ina392- Video
Today on our 2006 Honda CR-V, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Multifork Roof Top Bike Rack, part number INA392. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to this bike rack, excuse me, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead, we'll have a skewer mount up at the front that grips the forks of your bike, then at the rear we have this adjustable rear wheel strap to accommodate bikes of different sizes. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack as you can see here. So let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. We'll start with the rear wheel strap, you push this tab at the top, in like so, that releases the strap. And moving up to the front, you'll notice that it's protected by this bracket here, which is actually locked into place, so not only is this locking the bike to the bike rack, but the bike rack is also secured to your roof rack as well. more

Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2006 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2006 Honda CRV we're going to be test fitting the Thule Circuit XT roof bike rack, part number TH526XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike actually grips to the bike rack, we'll have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead, we'll have a rear wheel strap which is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Then up at the front here we have a skewer mount which will grip your bike by the fork mounts and secure it into place. The skewer is lockable, so if you we're to install the Thule lock core, you can actually secure your bike and your bike rack to the roof rack as well, because in order to take this off you have to remove the skewer. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the bike rack and the rear glass hatch, as you can see here. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How is this attached to the bike rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead we'll have a rear wheel strap which is adjustable to accommodate bikes of different size, and then we'll have this skewer mount at the front which is gripping our bike by the fork mounts. This top piece is lockable by adding a core in, so you could actually secure your bike rack to your roof rack. At the end here we do have an integrated cable lock as well, which also needs a lock core, so you can secure your bike to the bike rack as well. With everything installed as it is we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack itself as you can see here. more

Then up at the front it's actually going to grip it by the front tire so you don't have to remove it for the skewer mounts as you would with other bike racks. With everything installed as it is right now there's not going to be an issue of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack as you can see here. We have an integrated cable lock at the rear, as well as a lock at our rear connection point. You will need to purchase Yakima SKS lock core separately, but they will be key alike for this application. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead we'll have a rear wheel strap which is adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes, then up at the front, we'll have this connector bar with forks with the skewer mount here. This can be removed and you can use this with through axles from 12, 15 or 20 millimeter or the Boost 110 axle as well. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack, as you can see here. At the rear we do have an integrated cable lock as well as a lock in our rear connection point. more

Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack Review y02115- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima High Speed. This fork mount clamp on roof bike rack has a part number of Y02115. Now, the Yakima High Speed Bike Rack is going to be an excellent solution for the skewer style or pass through style bikes getting a fork mount that we can really get down the road looking good with. It's got a really nice appearance to it. The fit and finish is good. It also has a pretty stream lined nose to it here, and everything's kind of stream lined, so wind noise should be pretty reduced. Now, this is really a very, very versatile rack. more

We have this wheel mount up at the front, and then this wheel strap at the rear which is adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Now an advantage to this is that you don't have to remove your front wheel as you do with most other bike racks which will grip it by the fork mounts. more

Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack Test Course- Video
Here on our test course, we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action. This simulates turning corners or evasively maneuvering. Once we get to the full speed bumps, we'll see the up and down action. This will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot, parking garage, or driveway. Once we get to the alternating speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action. more
