RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey guys, today we have a 2018 Nissan Rogue, and we're going to do a test fit of the RockyMount's West Slope two bike platform rack. Now this is a platform rack that mounts to the hitch receiver of your Rogue. Allows you to carry two bikes to and from your destination. What's kind of cool about this design is it's got a tier style loading system. Meaning that the first bike, which is the one we have loaded, is going to sit lower than the second bike will. Again, you can definitely see that height difference. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Thule Helium Pro Hanging Style Three-Bike Rack. I've already got it set up here just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it looks on our Murano.One thing that's unique about this bike rack is that it is also motor-home approved, and it's one of the only few that can actually tilt away. It's gonna be nice and solid to hold our bikes on the back of a motor-home with all that vibration that you normally have. One thing to note is that you cannot tilt it away with bikes loaded, so just keep that in mind.But it secures our bikes with three points of contact. We've got two straps for our top tube, and then one strap for our seat post tube. The one for our seat post tube is gonna help cut down on some of that sway during transport, prevent bike to bike contact, bike to bike rack contact, and bike to vehicle contact.Let's go ahead and take it off. more

As you can see, we've already got it in place here, just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it's going to look on a Murano.Now what's unique about this bike rack is it is also motor home approved so we can use it on the back of our motor home. It's going to stand up to those vibrations. It's very durable. It's going to work out just fine carrying our two bikes.Now it secures our bikes which three points of contact. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Helium Pro Hanging-Style Two-Bike Rack. I've already got it set up here and installed just so you can get a good look at it and see how it works with our Murano.Now what's unique about this bike rack is that it's also Motorhome approved, so it's gonna be durable and very stable when carrying two bikes on the back of a Motorhome. It secures our bikes with three points of contact. We've got two straps for our top two, you can see them right here and then we've got one for our seat post tube.The one for our seat post tube is gonna help cut down on some of that sway during transport, prevent some bike-to-bike contact, bike-to-bike rack contact and bike-to-vehicle contact. Another thing I'd like to mention is that a cable lock is included, it's stowed within the mast here, that way we can leave our bikes unattended. That's a nice feature there. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit on the RockyMounts WestSlope platform style two bike rack. As you can see I've already got it set up here just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it's going to work with our Murano. Now what's nice about this bike rack is it secures our bikes without any frame contact. You can see how the hook here is going over our front tire, putting down pressure into the cradle and then in the rear, we have a strap going over that tire keeping everything in place. It's nice and stable, and this is the perfect bike rack for maybe a carbon fiber bike where we don't want any frame contact.Now with the bike in place, we can easily access our rear hatch by titling it away. Pull on the key pin here in the middle, and we'll lower it down. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Thule Apex XT hanging-style four bike rack. It includes a cable lock so we can secure our bikes and leave them unattended. That just stows right back into the mast here when it's not in use. Now, it secures our bikes with three straps. Hollywood Racks RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 for electric bikes. Now right away, this bike rack may look like a standard bike rack. It's not, it's actually built a lot more heavy-duty. We have welded-on gussets underneath the wheel cradles to support the extra weight of electric bikes. We can actually hold two electric bikes with up to 80 pounds per bike, so again very heavy-duty. It's going to support that extra weight.Now, Hollywood Racks does recommend that you do not travel with your battery installed. more

Hey, guys. Today we have a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, and we're going to do a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Platform Rack. Now this is a platform rack that mounts to your two inch by two inch hitch receiver. It's going to allow you haul up to four bikes to and from the trails or wherever else you want to take them.Now, it mounts on our bike in a couple of different points, we have three exactly. We have two straps, one on the back wheel right here and we're going to have one on the front wheel and both of these straps are going to have these nice, rubber pads that will help protect our bike wheel from any type of scratches or abrasions and instead of having a rubber-coated hook or anything putting downward force on top of our top tube, we have a cradle and strap securing our down tube right there, you can see, like that. I'll show you the example of this cradle on the other side, can rotate all the way around. more

Hey, guys. Today we have a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, and we're going to do a test with the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2 Bike Platform Rack. Now this is a hitch mounted bike rack. It mounts into your 2 inch or 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver, and allow you to carry up two bikes, to and from the trails. Now compared to other bike racks, in my opinion, in holds your bikes pretty steady. I really like how solid it is when it has it secured, just as it is if moving independently from the bike rack.It's gonna hold our bike in three different points. more

Now this platform rack mounts to your two inch by two inch hitch receiver that you have in your Pathfinder. It's going allow you to be able to haul up to four bikes to and from the trails.Now one of the cool features about this bike rack is that while we have it in its four bike configuration right now, we can convert it down to a two bike rack just by removing this pin right here. Once we do that, we can pull off the two bike addition and it converts it down to a two bike rack. That's ideal for when you only have two bikes to take out. more

Now this is a hitch model bike rack, it's gonna allow you to haul up to four bikes to and from the trails. It holds your bikes in a unique way. Rather than having two support posts that are horizontal like this and parallel to the ground, it has our two vertical support tubes that are perpendicular to the ground. Today in our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be trying out Kuat's transfer one bike platform rack. This bike rack will allow you to carry one bike on the back of your Nissan Murano using your existing hitch. Here on our test course, we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Once we get to the alternate speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action. Now right away I want to point out a great feature about this bike rack is that while we have it in a four bike configuration right now, if you want to convert it to a two bike, you would remove this nut and bolt right there. Once you do that, you can take off the two bike addition and shorten it, which will help for those times where maybe you're only taking two bikes out for a day.Another great feature about this bike rack is that it can tilt away from your vehicle to give you rear hatch access. To do that, we're gonna come up and pull this gray pin on the other side. Let it hang there and then we're gonna pull the red pin right here, and let it tilt away from the vehicle. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Nissan Murano- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Aero Light Four-Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part number INH640.We do have a bike installed, so let's take a closer look at some of these features. We have this nice integrated cable lock system that comes out from the base of our bike rack, wraps around the frames of our bikes, and inserts into that lock right there. When you want to unlock the cable, you get your set of keys that comes with your bike rack and slide up this tab right there. You got the insert for your key to unlock your cable and unload your bikes.Our cradles are going to be able to pivot left and right and move up and down on our bike rack to accommodate different size bike frames you might have or the spacing you might want between your bikes.On the bike itself, we're going to have three different points where its secured. We have two straps on the top of our bike frame. Then down here we have a third strap that is securing the frame into the anti-rattle cradle. more

Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Nissan Titan- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Nissan Titan, we're going to be taking a look at our ROLA Convoy four bike platform rack. That's part number 59308-4. Now, one of the main features of this rack is that it's got a modular design, which basically just means that each platform can be removed individually. Right now, we've got it in the four platform state. If you wanted to, you could take it down to three or two, or even one, if you just had one bike that you wanted to haul.One thing that's important to note is that it's got a max capacity of 45 pounds per bike, so if you had four 45 pound bikes on this rack plus the weight of the rack itself, it's going to equal out to about 320 pounds. That's going to be a lot of weight if you're on your own. more

That's part number S64670.So, I've already got it loaded up on my Murano with my bike loaded up on the rake just to give you a good idea of what it looks like, and how it's going to hold our bikes. Now, this is one of eTrailer's most popular bike racks because of how simple and easy it is to use. You're going to be able to get your bikes from A to B without a hassle.But it secures our bikes with a frame hook. It puts a down pressure on our tube into the front and rear cradles, and we've got rubber straps further keeping our bike in place, but let's go ahead and take our bike off.We'll start by undoing the wheel straps, and then we'll raise up the frame hook. So, we'll raise the front one up out of the way first and then the rear one. more

It is a platform style, so we're not gonna have to worry about any frame kind of tech on our bike. And one thing that we all reign in to is we get where we're going and we forget something inside the hatch of our car. Well the nice thing about our Transfer is we're gonna be able to tilt our bikes away while still on the rack. And the U-shaped design is gonna make it a lot easier to get in to load and unload your bikes, and we're gonna have a foot lever here that we can put our foot on it and the bikes will tilt down. more

It's a four-bike rack system with part number Y02464.One of the standout features on the SwingDaddy is its ability to hang four bikes and swing out to allow full access to the back. In order to swing it out, you're going to have to release the screw tab on the back, pull up on the gray lever, and push out. Once you get out about this far, you'll want to pull up on this tab and turn it in and continue pushing it out. Now you have full access. To return it, you'll need to push down on this tab. more

Hollywood Racks Trail-Rider Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2 bike rack system, part number HR200. This features two wheel wells that are adjustable for each bike. The bike will be held in place with two wheel straps on the front and rear wheel here, and by the padded hook on the top for the frame. This will accommodate many size bikes, but for smaller bikes may require an adapter bar.To remove the bike you want to release the straps on both wheels. Press the lever up and pull the hook up. You can now remove the pin here to lay this flat for easy removal. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna be looking at the Thule T2 Pro XTB 2 Bike Platform Rack. Part number TH9034XT.Some of the best features on the Thule are the easy reach handle for lowering, and raising the bike. In the lower position, you can nearly open the tailgate all the way, but not quite.This rack will accommodate back bikes and children's bikes, but you know bikes of al sizes due to the need to not attach to the bike frame, but to the tyre.Additionally, to this mount, there is a strap in the back, which can be released by pressing down on the tab, and also the ratcheted to hold the bike tightly into place.The arm is easily released using the button here, and can be pushed forward to make the bike easy to take off. Additionally, on the top of the arm here is a lock feature, which can be used to keep your bike secure and is keyed to match the receiver as well.We're gonna be adding about 39 inches to the length of the vehicle in this position with, let's see, about 25 inches of ground clearance, and our closest point is gonna be about three and a half inches. Again, we can pull the lever to place it in the upright position allowing for easier parking, which will then change our maximum length to the vehicle to about 17 and a half inches.The other great feature is that, this bike rack will install toollessly. On the side, there is a pin that will go into the receiver hole and the lever that will tighten down, that can also be locked in place to keep it secure. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Chinook two bike platform rack, part number S64683.This has all the features of a nice premium rack. It'll accommodate numerous size bikes and it has straps from both the front and rear and a padded hook on top to protect your bike frame. The lever here will allow the bike rack to be tilted down for easy access to your hatch or tailgate. We can't quite lower the tailgate all the way with the bike rack in this position.The cradles for the wheels are adjustable using these knobs. Slide back and forth to accommodate different sizes and the straps can be released by pressing in on the cam buckle. The hook here has a lock on it to keep your bike secure and the lever would press in and lift up to release. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Thule DoubleTrack Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9054. Some of the best features of this rack are its versatility and ease of adjustability. The wheel wells here will allow for fat bikes, road bikes and all other sizes of bikes. The easy to release lever allows for quick adjustability. The bike is held in with straps on the bottom here and also with a clamp here in the middle.To remove the straps, we'll press the lever, the cam buckle lever, and just pull the strap up. Do the same on the other wheel. more

Speaker 1: Today on a 2018 Nissan Frontier we're going to be testing the tooly T2 classic two bike platform rack system, part number TH9044.This can also be extended to a four bike rack system which can be found as an accessory on etrailers website. It can be tilted down with this lever here. Oh first remove the pin and then pull the lever. Which will allow full access to the rear of our bed here. Simply lift up, lock it back into place and reinsert the pin.The bike's held in by a strap for the back wheel which is adjustable and the padded hook here on the front wheel. This is nice because it can accommodate multiple bikes of all sizes. more
