Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Toyota RAV4- Video
Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Toyota Rav 4. And you can see it's going to have a really clean, nice, almost factory appearance to it because that crosstube's going to be mainly hidden behind the bumper here and the main thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out.Now our hitch is a Class III, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and it's going to have the biggest variety of options when it comes to accessories. If we need to make some room inside of our Rav 4, we can move some gear to the outside if we use a cargo carrier. Or if you want to hit the trails, we can put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us. Or if we just need to tow a trailer, we can put a ball mount in. But regardless of what we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories using the hitch pin hole here on the side.Our hitch is going to accept a standard five eights pin and clip. more

You can see our hitch has a really nice clean appearance to it, almost a factory look that's because the most part of the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a Class II, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It can be great for cargo carriers or even bike racks or if you have some really light duty towing. However, the larger receiver tube opening on our Class III hitch, which is going to be a two inch by two inch, those are going to have the most options when it comes to accessories. Now regardless of what accessories we're going to put in, all of them are going to be mounted using the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt Class 3 Custom Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Toyota Highlander.Here's what the hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Now you can see it's got a really nice appearance because the cross tube's going to be pretty much hidden all the way across. We'll have a little bit hanging down, but the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. So, it's not going to be distracting from the looks of our Highlander.Our Hitch is going offer us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, and we're going to have a really wide variety of options when it comes to the accessories we can mount up. Whether we want to go on a bike ride, want to carry some bikes, we're not going to have to worry about taking multiple vehicles because the hitch will be able to handle up to four or five bikes. Or if we're going camping we want to throw a cargo carrier on there and not dirty the inside of Highlander, it's going to be a really great way to transport all that stuff. more

And now since we have our hitch, you're going to be happy with the fact that we can use our accessories. That way it'll free up some room on the inside. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Prius v- Video
Today on our 2017 Toyota Prius V, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT Class 1 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. You're going to see the cross tube, it's going to sit right below the bumper, but it is set back at an angle, so the main thing we're going to see is the receiver tube right here. It is a Class 1 hitch, means it's going to give us an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which would be great for bike racks and some smaller cargo carriers.The way we're going to mount any of our accessories to our hitch is going to be through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It's going to accept a standard half-inch pin and clip, these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure. If you're going to be doing any light-duty towing, keep in mind that there is a specific drawbar made for our hitch, and you can find it here at etrailer.com.You'll notice that the safety chain connection points are going to be a plate-style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

Now even though the hitch itself is visible, it's going to be tucked far enough back to where it's not really going to cause an appearance issue. Although, since it does sit a little bit down further, we will lose a little bit of ground clearance, so keep that in mind if you're going up or down a steep driveway.Now one of my favorite things about this hitch is how versatile it is. Compared to some of the other ones on the market, it's going to be able to handle more weight. more

This is what our hitch is going to look like installed. Now that our Sienna has a hitch, we're gonna be able to tow a trailer, or even use it for things like bike racks or cargo carriers. What I like about this hitch over many of the others is how hidden it is. Everything will be behind the bumper, leaving only the receiver tube exposed.It's even going to allow you to put back on your splash guard, and that'll help keep your undercarriage protected. Also, since it sits up a little bit higher, we're not gonna lose that ground clearance that we had before. more

Now these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.If you do plan on doing some light duty towing our receiver chain connection points are going to be a plate style welded to the bottom and you can see we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off, but if you are using a rather small hook, just keep in mind it may have a little bit of limitation when it comes to movement because of the flange right here.As far as the weight capacity goes, our hitch is going to have a 300 pound tongue weight, which is the maximum downward force of the receiver tube, along with a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating. That's the amount our hitch can pull including the trailer and everything we have loaded on it. more

Today in our 2019 Toyota Highlander, you're going to be taking a look and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max e-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see the cross tube is visible, however it sits nice and tight up against the bottom of our fascia and has a round tube design so it fits nicely with the contour of the vehicle. The receiver tube does stick out a little bit away from our bumper so you just want to make sure you watch your legs when loading and unloading the back of the vehicle. It has a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening with a nice reinforced collar to give it a little extra stability. Hitch pin hole which is this hole here is going to be 5/8" in diameter.
