Only thing that we can see is our receiver tube. This is going to help maintain a nice clean look on the back of our vehicle.It's going to be a class three hitch. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver.So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be visible and it's going to sit right below our bumper. Now, the big advantage to this hitch where it sits below our bumper is the fact that we're not going to have to modify or cut at all on the bottom of our Jeep.It is a Class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, so we'll have a really wide variety of options when it comes to the accessories that we can mount up. Now, the way we're going to mount any of those accessories is the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now, these are not included in the kit but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.And our safety chain connection points, they're are going to be a plate inaudible 00:00:54 welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2019 Jeep Compass.Here on the bottom we have the Draw-Tite, and here on top we have the Curt. First noticeable difference is gonna be how they mount onto the vehicle. This is gonna use one hole, or our Draw-Tite is gonna use one hole on the bottom of our frame rail and two on the sides, where our Curt is gonna use two holes on the bottom of the frame rail and two on the sides.Our Draw-Tite is gonna be visible off the bottom of the vehicle, where a Curt is actually gonna be hidden, which is gonna require some fascia trimming.Our Draw-Tite is gonna have a pre-mounted bracket for any wiring accessories where your Curt's not gonna have that. With our Draw-Tite, safety chain loops. You can see we're gonna have plate style. We got plenty of room for different size hooks, but it is a plate that is welded to the bottom of the hitch, where with our Curt, it's gonna be a little less discreet. more

As you can see with the matte finish that that etrailer hitch offers, it kinda blends in really well with the bumper. It's also gonna do a good job of hiding scratches, and it's gonna stay very resilient. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite custom fit Class III trailer hitch receiver. It offers the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. The part number is 76104.And here's what our hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see, it sticks well out past our bumper and there's a good advantage with this. Our hitch front end hole is gonna be right here. This allows us really easy use of folding cargo carriers, folding bike racks, and things like that.Now, on the negative side of a hitch that's like this, you're decreasing your departure angle quite a bit, so as you're coming off obstacle, off-roading, and things like that, this is gonna have a tendency to get hung up on those things more so than the other options.Something else you'll appreciate on the Draw-Tite hitch is gonna be this little bracket welded on right here. more

It is gonna accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. While these are not included in the clip you can pick them up here on etrailer.com.Now as far as the safety chain connection points go, we're gonna have a loop style, kind of a rolled steel stock weld to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 2: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class 111 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76104.So, here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed on our Jeep. Now the biggest benefit to this one is the fact that the receiver tube is actually going to stick out just a little bit past the bumper itself. It's going to help out with that clearance whenever we put in bike racks or a cargo carrier that will fold up. Pretty much any accessory that's going to fold, it's going to help gain a little bit of clearance from our spare tire. The hitch is going to give us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, so we are going to have a really wide variety of options for accessories.The way we're going to mount any of those accessories, the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8" pin and clip. While these are not included in the kit, you can pick them up here, at etrailer.com.Now the secondary hole towards the receiver tube opening here, that's going to be used exclusively for the J-pin stabilization device, which is going to be an anti-rattle device, which is always nice to have, if the accessory you have doesn't have one built in. more

Part number E98856.So, here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed on our Jeep.Our hitch is going to offer us a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to open up a lot of variety of different things that we can mount up.Now, the hitch is going to be pretty well hidden under the bumper but it's also going to stick out far enough to help us out getting those bike racks and cargo carriers in place and not have to worry about interference with our tire; but at the same time, it's close enough to the bumper that if we do go off-roading, it shouldn't have too much effect our departure angle.Now, the way we're going to mount any of the accessories that we have is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard 5" pin and clip and while these aren't included in our kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com.If you plan on doing some towing, our safety chain connection points are going to be a plate style and as you can see, we'll have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off and we're not going to have to worry about any kind of interference from the pin and clip.And our etrailer hitch is going to have a nice matte black carbide finish on it, so it's going to blend in nicely with the rear bumper, as well as protect the hitch from any kind of scratches or rust and corrosion.Now, our hitch is going to have a 350 lb tongue weight, along with a 3,500 lb gross trailer weight rating. It is designed to also work with weight distribution systems, which is going to be a separate component mounted on the trailer but that's going to jump the tongue weight up to 400 lbs and the gross trailer weight rating up to 4,000 lbs. So, with all those numbers in mind, you should always double check your Jeep's owner's manual and never exceed the manufacturers recommended weight.I'd like to give you a few measurements and that'll help you in deciding for accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, a bike rack or even a cargo carrier.From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper, it's going to be right about 2.5". Now, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the tire, it's going to be close to 12". more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Cherokee we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the CURT custom fit Class 3 trailer hitch receiver. Offering the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, the part number is C13172.Now here's what your hitch is going to look like installed. I really like this style of hitch for the Cherokee. There's another CURT option available, and that one has a crosstube that comes across and goes up, and it's pretty visible all the way. This gives us a very nice, clean appearance, although it does take a little bit more work to get it installed. The hardware is pretty much the same, but just getting it in and behind the fascia and the little trim-out you have to do here does add a little additional time.Now this is a Class 3 hitch, so we have the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. more
