Today, on our 2011 Ford Edge, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the etrailer.com Class III 2-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver.Many Edge owners plan on using their SUV to do a little bit of everything. Whether you're wanting to put a cargo carrier on the back here to free up some space on the inside, haul around a few bikes, or even do some towing, this is going to be a great all-around versatile hitch to get all those things accomplished.One thing I did notice it is going to give us some pretty good clearance. What I mean by that is a hitch is going to sit just a little bit past the edge of our rear bumper. That's going to work really well for those falling accessories. Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Ford escape. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to have a really clean, almost factory appearance, and that's because our crosstube's going to be completely hidden behind the bumper and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out, and the matte black finish line does lend it to blending in pretty well at the bottom. It's not those high gloss finishes that you typically see on hitches. The flat black's going to hide dirt really well and hide scratches really nicely. But it is a class three so it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount out.But whether you're going to use your hitch for a ball mount to tow a trailer, put a bike rack in there so we can hit the trail, or if we just need a cargo carrier, free up some space on the inside, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Adding a class three hitch to your vehicle, it's going to allow you to not only put a four bike bike rack on it, put a cargo carrier on it, but it's also gonna allow you to tow a trailer. Maybe you have a family and you want a hitch that can handle up to four bikes so you don't have to put four bikes in the back of the vehicle, or maybe you want to put a cargo carrier on so you can remove some of that cargo from the insides and make more room for your passengers. Maybe you have a camper and you want to be able to use weight distribution with it. This hitch is going to be able to accommodate all of that.Putting a cargo carrier in the back of our bike rack, it's gonna make it a lot easier to load and unload the bike rack or the cargo carrier. Now, what I really like about this hitch is that for the most part, it's going to be completely hidden and that's going to help maintain that factory appearance. I just think overall, it matches our car nicely. Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com today on our 2018 Ford Taurus, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class two-inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver. Now right off the bat, one of the first things I want to point out is that although the hitch is mostly hidden, this one is probably going to be the most visible out of the hitches that are available now. Now this is a class-two hitch, so it's going to have the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. That's also going to have a half inch size pin hole which, keep in mind, it does not come included with the pin and clip. But if you need one, you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. It does have loop style, safety chain openings, which are quite open and large.So you shouldn't have any problem using just about any size hook that you might have without interfering with your pin and clip. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Ford F-150- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer today. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite hitch for our 2017 F-150. You're going to have a two-inch by two-inch hitch opening. This is going to work great for any bike racks, pulling trailers, cargo carriers, anything of that nature, it's going to have a nice black powder coat finish, which is going to help resist against that rust and corrosion. This hitch is going to have a five, eight inch pinhole and a J-pinhole if you use those.With this hitch, you're going to have a max trailer weight of 6,000 pounds and a max tongue weight of 900 pounds. If you're using a weight distribution system, you're going to bump your max trailer weight up to 12,000 pounds and your max tongue weight up to 1200 pounds.And you do want to make sure you check with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that your truck can haul that. more

This hitch is going to function great for recreational purposes such as using it to carry bike racks, and it's also going to be a great choice for towing. A lot of these vans are also used to haul a lot of people, and when you have a lot of people in a van, you're going to have limited storage space. With this in place, you can now put a cargo carrier on the back and haul all your gear or equipment that way.If you're primarily going to be using this hitch for towing, something you might be interested in is some trailer wiring, that way your trailer has all the proper lighting functions. If your trailer happens to have electric brakes, something else that might interest you would be an ETBC7 and a brake controller. more

The Draw-Tite's weight capacity is gonna be a little bit higher. It's going to have a 2,000 pound maximum of gross trailer weight rating and a 200 pound maximum tongue weight rating, while the Curt hitch is gonna offer a 150 pound maximum tongue weight rating and a 1,500 pound gross trailer weight rating.So what that means is our Draw-Tite is going to be able to handle a little more weight. So it could mean the difference of getting an extra bike or two on our bike rack or put in an extra couple of bags on our cargo carrier or even put one or two more things on our small trailer.Another notable difference I found is in the hitch's appearance. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at our best trailer hitch options for a 2011 to 2019 Ford Fiesta. Here on top we're going to have the class 1 draw-tite hitch, and below it we're going to have the class 1 curt hitch. One of the major differences I've found between the two hitches is their weight capacity. The draw-tite's weight capacity is gonna be a little bit higher. It's going to have a 2,000 pound maximum gross trailer weight rating, and a 200 pound maximum tow weight rating, while the curt hitch is going to offer 150 pound maximum tow weight rating, and a 1,500 pound gross trailer weight rating.What that means is our draw-tite is going to be able to handle a little more weight. more

Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver.This is what our hitch looks like. It's going to be a 2" x 2" hitch receiver. You're going to be able to tow those bike racks, cargo carrier, or even put a ball mount in it. Today on our 2018 Ford Fiesta, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver. This is what our hitch is going to look like installed. Now, although it is mostly visible, because of it's design, it's going to give us an adequate amount of clearance to use just about any hitch mounted accessory you might have.This is a Class I hitch, so it's going to have that inch and quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford Taurus- Video

Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt class three trailer hitch receiver on our 2013 Ford Taurus.This is what our hitch is gonna look like when it's installed. You can see, the only thing we can see is our receiver tube. Our cross tube is completely hidden behind our bumper fascia, so it's gonna maintain a nice clean look on the back of the vehicle.It's gonna be a class three hitch, two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. We're gonna have a reinforced collar, so a little extra stability there. Hitch pin hole's gonna be five-eighths inch in diameter. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at your best trailer hitch options for your 2019 Ford Explorer.Up top, we have the E-trailer.com hitch, here in the center, this is the CURT hitch and down here at the bottom, is the Draw-Tite hitch.We found that the Draw-Tite is going to have the highest weight capacity rating. Also, when it comes to towing, we found that the Draw-Tite is going to be the best choice there. But when it came to the appearance of the hitches, we found that the E-trailer.com hitch is going to look the best.But we found a few differences in between all of these hitches. The first one is going to be the actual weight capacity that these hitches can handle. Now, the E-trailer.com and the CURT hitch, they're gonna be the exact same. They're gonna have a maximum tongue weight rating of 400 pounds, which that's the amount of downward pressure on the receiver tube opening.They're also both gonna have a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 4,000 pounds, so that's the amount of weight pulling on it. more
