Now, this style of carrier is going to hold it on your roof and in between these two arms with these very thick rubber pads. Those rubber pads are going to keep things nice and well gripped as well as cushioned and protected, so all of our gear's gonna be nice and safe up there, it's gonna hold it really well going down the road, and overall, be a great way of carrying that kind of long gear that might otherwise be hard to put in the car. Now, one thing I really like about this Yakima one is the very large buttons. This makes it really easy to open up, especially if you've got something like mittens on, you just hit it with the palm of your hand, and it goes up like that. They're spring loaded, so they stay open, and I can just grab my gear, take it off the rack, and set it aside. more

Now with this, it is a little bit difficult to reach up in there with the style of this factory roof rack. This is gonna be a great way of transporting your gear to and from your destination while saving extra room in your vehicle, especially with your ski and snowboards you might not want to make the interior of your vehicle wet, damp, muddy, or whatever but it's gonna leave you a lot of extra room to carry a roof basket, a roof cargo basket so that you can carry your snowy winter boots or anything else like that with you on your trip. You can carry up to two snowboards or three fat skis in this carrier. And depending on the thickness of your gear then just do one click for the fatter skis and two clicks for the things that fit. Today, we're taking a look at this one, this will probably be your more premium option as far as ski and snowboard carriers. A great feature is that it also doubles as a fishing rod carrier that will carry up to six poles. But what makes it great is that you can keep it on all year round, it is aerodynamic, but it locks into itself with these straps as well as a Same Key System on all the lock cores right here. So this carrier will allow you to carry four pairs of skis or two snowboards, right now we just have a pair of each, and if we scooted them closer, we could actually get two pairs of skis and a snowboard on here, but it's gonna be made out of a durable aluminum, so it's gonna be rust-free and corrosion-resistant. I like these buttons, 'cause they stick out and you could wear your thick, heavy winter gloves and still pop them open with just a simple judo chop. Super easy to load and unload just like that. On the inside, you're gonna have a thick rubber material here, keeping your gear snug and secure. The rubber also helps maintain traction for when your gear's wet from the snow, and a great thing about this is that they also double as a fishing rod holder, can carry up to six fishing poles easily with this, so you can keep them on all year round for your winter sports and then in the summertime for when you go fishing. more

This carrier can be used for skis, but also fishing rods. As you can see, this is a big rod and we can't fit it in our Jeep, even if we wanted to. So this is one that isn't gonna damage your rods. I really think you can fit way more fishing rods than you can fit people in this car, 'cause it's pretty big. But it's not gonna damage your rods it's just gonna keep 'em nice and snug. more

Inno Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2014 Toyota Prius v INA952- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at our Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier, right here on our 2014 Toyota Prius V. So this is going to be a very small and compact snowboard carrier. One of the smallest in fact that I've seen here at etrailer, so if you're only planning on carrying your own skis or your own snowboards along with a friend, this'll be perfectly fine, but let's take a look at some measurements just to see if you're gonna have the right fit. The first thing I wanna take a look at is how much space does it take up on our crossbar system, So measuring from the end of one clamp, to the end of the other, it sits at about 15 and a half inches. Notice how I have this clamped around our overhang, that's to bring the carrier out further towards the end of our Prius V, making it easier to take off our seasoned still boards and this frees up so much more room towards the side for our other gear. Now lets talk about security, so we have two lock cores right here, and you get two keys as well, either key access, accesses, these skis and the snowboards, and then you are not unable to loosen these clamps, unless this is unlocked and open. more

That way, we can get our skis and snowboards out of the vehicle. That way, there's more leg room for everybody inside. Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com I'm Bobby and today we'll be taking a look at the Yakima FreshTrack 4 Ski and Snowboard Carrier, here on our 2021, Ford Bronco Sport. So if you guys are looking for a way of getting those snowboards and skis to your destination, this can be a very decent way to do so. So really simple design. All we have is gonna be those two rubber gaskets, coming down, holding under our board and skis, making sure they get there safe and sound, for ourselves. You guys can see here today on the Ford Bronco Sport, lots of clearance because of our clamp-on-style. So even right now, not too worried about my bindings interacting with the roof of our vehicle. more

Kuat Grip Slide Out Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
What's up everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Grip, Ski and Snowboard Carrier. This is the smaller version, but we have some that are going to be a little bit bigger. So if you go with the smaller version, we're going to be able to get four pairs of skis or two snowboards, or just a mix of both like you see here, but we're also going to have a longer one, which is going to fit up to six skis, and possibly up to four snowboards. There's a bunch of different color options, so this is black, of course, but we also have gray and we have pearl as well, so you can kind of match it to fit your rig. Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima FatCat EVO 4 ski carrier here on the back of our 2021, Ford F-250. So this can be an excellent way of going ahead and starting to secure your snowboards, your skis, and that way we're having an excellent time of actually get them up to the slope. So you have your Prius V, and you got that MPGs, you have all that storage space, but what if you wanna carry your skis and snowboards, not inside of your spacious trunk, but on top of your vehicle. That's where the Kuat Grip comes in handy. Because of the slope of the Prius V, it is kind of tricky to get the right angle of things or accessories to carry your skis and snowboards. You wanna make sure you get something that can adjust very easily, and enough to carry those things. more
