Rola Dart Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab, we'll be test fitting the Rola Dart Folding Cargo Carrier, that's part number 59550. Its dimensions are 23x56. It has a max capacity of 450 pounds and it's for 2 inch hitches only. Our receiver here today is a 2 1/2 inch receiver, we've got an adapter to make it a 2 inch. We can go ahead and begin by inserting our shank into our receiver, we'll line up our pin holes, that looks pretty good and then we'll take our included anti rattle bolt, thread that through, grab our socket wrench and tighten that the rest of the way down. Nice thing about this anti rattle bolt it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our cargo carrier. more

Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe we will be test fitting the Pro Series solo cargo carrier. That's part number PS1040100. It has dimensions of thirty-one by forty-seven, it has a max capacity of four hundred pounds and it's for two inch hitches only. We're going to start by inserting our shank into our receiver and we're looking for our pin holes to be lined up. All right, once we have that lined up we'll go ahead and insert our included pin and clip and we can take a few measurements. Starting with our nearest point, it'll be about nine inches from here to our bumper. Overall we've added forty-one and a half inches to our vehicle and four our ground clearance we're looking for about sixteen inches right here. We can go ahead and check for our break over point, that's going to be right at twenty inches before our rear hatch breaks over our cargo carrier. more

Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we want to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pin hole. With those in place we can take the pin which is provided with the carrier, I'm sorry the bolt which is provided with the carrier, we'll thread it in. As you can see there is still kind of some movement and some play there, it's time to bring in the wrench and get it tightened down. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 model we're going to do a test fit on the Pro Series 31 by 47 Solo cargo carrier. They've designed this for use with 2" hitches. It offers a 400 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is PS1040100. This is one of the larger cargo carriers that we offer, and while it's not really that much more heavy than any of the other ones we have, it's a little bit bigger, so it can be a little bit cumbersome. I'd recommend having somebody help you install it on the vehicle but if you don't have that person I can show you a little method I've developed here. Basically we're just going to bring our carrier forward and just allow the shank to rest into the receiver tube. more

Now this carrier is one of the larger that we offer, if you're going to be installing this by yourself, I adopted a little technique for doing it. You just want to place the carrier here behind the rear of the vehicle, slide it up until you have that shank resting inside the receiver tube then we're going to lift up at the rear and slide in at the same time. We want to slide it in far enough so that our pinhole lines up with our hitch pinhole, we can then take our standard 5/8 pin and we're just going to slide this through. We'll secure it on the other side with a clip and keep in mind the pin and clip are sold separately. more

They've designed this for use in 2-inch hitches and it still offers a 500-pound weight capacity. The part number on it is MT70107. To begin our test fit, we're just going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole and take our standard 5/8ths pin and slide this through, and we'll secure it on the other side with our clip.
