Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirrors, part number CM11980. Now here I am at the back of my trailer and you clearly see me in my factory mirror, but if I step away you lose track of me, but that's where our towing mirror comes into play. Now this is going to benefit us whether we're driving the highway and we need to change lanes, backing our trailer up or even pulling up to the campgrounds. Now our towing mirror's going to have full adjustability. We're going to be able to adjust it up and down as well as left and right, and even turn the mirror sideways for a more wide angle view. If we come to this knob here, we can loosen it up and our mirror will actually extend out, giving us that much more adjustability being able to see safely what's behind us. Even though our mirror's going to mount to our factory mirror, we're not going to lose any adjustment. We're still going to be to adjust our mirror up and down, left and right, and being able to safely see what's behind us. more

You can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I step away, you lose track of me. But that's where our towing mirrors are going to come into play. Whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, park our trailer, or even pull up at the camp ground, our towing mirror's going to give us an accurate and safe description of what's next to us as well as behind us. So here's what our towing mirror looks like fully installed. And they have full adjustability being able to get that perfect angle when we're going down the road and even we can turn our mirror sideways for more of a wide angle view. The way we're going to attach our mirror is, it'll have four small tabs, they're going to fit in between our housing and our mirror glass and then a few straps to secure it to the back. more

The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side-to-side. By removing the Phillips head screw through the back, we can take the mirror out and turn it to the horizontal position for a different view. more

Now if we come up to this knob right here, if we loosen it up, we actually can get a wider view by pulling our arm out and tightening it up. Now we can much greater view and a wider angle. more

Now here I am at the back of my trailer, clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I take a few steps away you're going to lose sight of me in the factory mirror and I become more clear in the towing mirror. Now that's going to come in handy whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, or if we're getting into a tight spot, or parking, or even pulling up at the camp ground. The mirror's going to give us all the adjustability that we may need. It's going to be able to tilt up and down, left and right, and diagonally. Even if we want a different angle, more of a wide angle, we can actually rotate our mirror and get more of a wide angle that way. We're still going to be able to retain all the movement in our factory mirror, being able to move it up and down, left and right, and diagonally. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. Now if I come to the back of the trailer here you can see in the factory mirror that you can still see me here, but when you're going to change lanes, passing, or maybe backing your trailer up, that's where our towing mirror's going to come into play. Because if I step aside a few feet you can see you lose track of me in the factory mirror, but you can still clearly see me in the towing mirror. Now this mirror's going to be great for towing, making sure that you can see around you when you're turning, or parking. Now one of the nice features of this mirror is it is a temporary mirror, but you're not going to lose any functions of your factory glass. You're still going to be able to have your side to side movement, as well as your up and down, as well as still being able to fold your mirror in and not have to lose that option. Now the towing mirror itself does adjust so you can have side to side action, as well as up and down, and if you remove the screw in the back you can actually pull the mirror straight out and have it turned this way for a different angle as well. Now here on the back part of the mirror our straps are rubber coated, and we have a pad here that's going to make contact with our mirror so we don't have to worry about any scratches our abrasions. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. If I come to the back of our trailer here, you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but when we go to turn, change lanes, or possibly back our trailer up, we're going to lose sight if I take a few steps this way. That's where our towing mirror is going to come into play as you can clearly see me in the towing mirror, so this is going to give you a wide angle of view to make sure you're not going to hit anything and you have a nice clear view. Now, these are a dual-view mirror because the large section here is going to give you more of a straightforward and real-life perception of what's behind you, whereas the smaller mirror is a convex shape mirror, so it's going to act more like a spot mirror. The nice thing about these mirrors are is that you're not going to lose any adjustment in your factory mirror. You're still going to have the up and down, side to side, and the diagonal, so you're not going to lose any movement. Now, another thing is nice is even though we have this towing mirror attached to our factory mirror, we still can fold our mirrors. In case we get into a close quarter situation, we're not going have to worry about taking the tow mirrors off. Now, the mirror back here on the back side, these turn knobs here. more

We've backed up to a 12-foot trailer here just to give you an idea of the expanded field of view that you can expect. As you can see, this is a where our factory mirror, it's going to do all of its work right here in this area, but when that longer trailer situation arises and it starts to get behind us, that towing mirror's really going to help us out, and it's going to allow us to get out here quite a bit further, out away from the trailer, so we can see that real axle and things. This is going to help to prevent some of those times where you have to stick our head out of the window or really try to turn around in our seat to see what's going on with our trailer. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be doing a test fit on the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror. That's part number 11953. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you could see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not so much the factory mirror. Between both mirrors, the larger and the smaller one, you get the same view, just a closer, more clearer view in the larger one. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you get with just your factory mirror. more

As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. Now if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up. This is the view you'd get with just your standard factory mirror. The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side-to-side. If we remove the phillips head screw from the back, we can take our mirror out, turn it to the horizontal position for a different view. more

It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even backup while towing a trailer or a small camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Now if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this the view you'd get with just your factory mirror. Now, the mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees so if you'd like to keep it at that horizontal position for a different view, you have that option. It can also be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal and side to side. Each one of our four clips is not going to interfere with the operation or movement of our factory mirror and we could even still fold it in. Here on the backside, it uses two rubber straps to secure it in place around the factory housing. more

K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today in our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the K-Source custom extendable towing mirrors. These are for manual mirror applications and take care of the driver and passenger side. Part number is KS62077-78G. Now here's what our full replacement towing mirrors are going to look like installed. As you can see, we have the added benefit of a much larger mirror, plus we've got our spotter mirror here on the bottom, which it's going to be really really nice when it comes to towing. These are geared more towards your everyday towing situation or somebody that would do towing and hauling, either on a very regular basis or somebody that goes out camping a lot. These are going to prevent us from having to take off and put on our towing mirrors every time we want to go. more

Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Equinox we'll be installing the Cipa duel view clip-on towing mirror, part number 11953. You can see me just fine in the factory mirror. Not a problem but if we wanted to change lanes and there's something next to our trailer, we won't be able to see it in the factory mirror. That's where the tow mirrors come into play. I'll step out to the side. You can't see me in the factory mirror anymore but now you can see me in the tow mirror. Our mirror's fully adjustable. more
