So, this is gonna be a roof mounted carrier that wraps around our crossbars and gives us a place to hold our skis on the snowboards between these two spring loaded arms. There's a very large button to open those. Very easy to press with a glove or a mitten. more

This is gonna be a roof mounted carrier that clamps around our crossbars, so you will need a roof rack to make this work, but for me this is one of my preferred ways of carrying skis and snowboards, and it certainly beats just throwing it in the bed of your truck. It's gonna help keep 'em protected between these two spring loaded arms. So, just press the large button on the outside, open it up and we've got these thick rubber pads that are gonna keep our gear nice and protected in there, helping to provide padding, but also grip. more

A lot of people like using a box, and those are nice because they are enclosed and locking, but the problem with rooftop boxes is they can get very large and they add a lot of height to your vehicle. They're hard to store when it's not on your vehicle, so you gotta find some place in the garage to keep it. more

It's gonna be a roof mounted carrier that'll attach to your crossbars, so you will need a roof rack to make this work, but it's going to be a set of the spring loaded arms that hold your skis or your snowboards in between these thick rubber pads. It's gonna do a number of things, it's going to help protect our gear, but also, keep it gripped. So you can see there's no back and forth movement when I shake the vehicle by the snowboard here, everything's really secure in there. Now, a lot of people like using rooftop boxes to carry their skis and snowboards, because they're enclosed and lockable. more

A ski and snowboard carrier for your roof is a great way to get some of that gear out of your car and up on top of your vehicle where you've got some more room and you can transport them safely. A lot of people like to use rooftop boxes for this because they are enclosed, but the problem with boxes is that they can get very expensive, they're very bulky and they're hard to store whenever they're not on your roof. This is gonna be a nice low profile solution, much more cost effective, and when it's not on your roof, it's easy to store in the garage and put somewhere out of the way. more

There's a bunch of different carrier options, this one is gonna be great for if you want something that's affordable, but still has those premium features like locks and is safe and secure for those skis and snowboards. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Kuat Grip Ski and Snowboard Carrier fits on the 2021 Kia Forte. The Kuat Grip is a premium ski and snowboard carrier that has a bunch of features in there just to make it easy for you to load your skis up, but also, keep them secured. And it is a sunny day here in Missouri, but what if you still need to load up your Kia Forte and get your skis and snowboards out to where you can go down those slopes Now, the way this works is it slides out to make it easier for you, maybe not as much of an important feature for a shorter sedan like this, but we'll still take a look at it. I really like the handle design of the Kuat Grip, because it makes it easy to access the carrier, but even if you have your big gloves, all you need to do is push up, and it pops the entire carrier lid up. And from here, some people would have to reach in to grab their skis and snowboards or open up the door, things like that, but you only need to press these buttons, and the entire thing slides out. So this version can carry up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards. more

Now this version of the gravity is going to be a dual-sided one. You can see the carrier has two sets of jaws, one over on the passenger side and then one on the driver's side. This is expandable and retractable and it's not in the fully expanded state right now but it's basically designed so that you can have easy access to your skis and snowboards on either side putting up close towards the edge of the vehicle rather than to the center of the roof, while still maintaining a good capacity for skis and snowboards. more

Now this is gonna be a way to carry skis and snowboards on your roof that isn't enclosed. A lot of people are probably familiar with using Rooftop Box to carry those, but those can get expensive, hard to store and they're just bigger and bulkier on the roof of your vehicle. And if you're pulling into somewhere with a low clearance situation and you don't want to add all that height to your vehicle, this is another good way to kind of keep things lower to the ground. Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2021 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Rhino-Rack ski and snowboard and fishing rod carrier fits on a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta. So this has a bunch of different size options, you can get it as a 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 pairs of ski carrier, so what we have here is the four, right there in the middle, but it's really up to you which one works better for you, they all work the same way, they have the same sizes, the same clearances, just different amounts of skis that you can carry. Now, here with your Jetta, you are limited to your crossbar spread, so center to center, it's gonna be 27 3/4 inches, and we do recommend like around 29 inches, but here, it's perfectly fine with the bindings on the ski. Now, to access those skis, you have these big buttons up top. So even with your heavy or thick gloves, just hit those buttons, one and two, those pop up, making it easier for you to grab the skis and snowboards. Now, if you want to or with the longer carrier, that might be a little trickier, so I would recommend getting or look at the slide out function, but here, you can also see how this can be used with those fishing rods because of the rubber padding on the bottom and the top of your carrier. more

Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2022 Tesla Model Y- Video

Today we're allowing our 2022 Tesla Model Y to do a little bit more with the Rhino Rack ski and snowboard carrier that can also carry your fishing rods in the summer months. There are some ski and snowboard carriers that cannot be used with your fly rods or any type of fishing rods, and what makes this one able to do so, you notice that the pads right here, one, they're really big, but they're not locking in like teeth. So you have two little humps right here and the same exact two humps up top. So those are gonna be great for not putting too much strain on your rod. I think that's a big thing, especially with a fly rod like this. It's very, very, very, very thin rod. more
