It has a max capacity of 500 pounds and it's for 2 inch hitches only. We'll go ahead and start by loading our shank into our receiver. We'll go ahead and line our pin holes up. Once we get those lined up we'll go ahead and take our pin and clip. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we are going to do a test fit on the Hollywood Racks add on cargo carrier design for use with the sport rider or sport rider SE2 bike rack but as you can see here, it's also available for use as a stand alone carrier. It measures 15 1/2 inches x 55. It's going to offer us at 220 pound weight capacity when used independently. A 90 pound weight capacity when used in conjunction with the bike rack. Part number on it is HR1485. To begin our test we need to slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. more

Now this is a nice light cargo carrier, if weight is an issue, it might be a really good choice for you. To begin the test fit, we just slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We are going to line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. more

Today on our 2005 Honda CRV, we are going to be doing a test fit on the 17x50 Maxxtow compact cargo carrier. They've designed this for use in 2 inch hitches with it smaller size it still offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is MT70107. To begin our test fit we simply slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we are going to line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. With those in line we'll take our standard 5/8 pin and then slide this through and we'll secure it on the other side here with our clip. Now the pin and clip are sold separately, if you don't already have one at home, we've got them listed as part number PC3. more

Today on our 2005 Honda CRV we're going to be doing a test fit on the CURT 17 by 46 compact cargo carrier. This has been designed for use with an 1-1/4" or with 2" hitches. Even with its small size it's going to offer us a 500 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is C18145. Now to begin the test fit we just slide the shank of the carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch here. We want to line the threaded hole up with our hitch pinhole. Once we have those in line we're going to take the anti-rattle bolt which is provided; we're going to thread this on through. more

Today on our 2014 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Curt 24x60 hitch mounted cargo carrier. This is designed for 2-inch hitches, part number C18153. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll go ahead and slide it in till we get our pinholes to line up with each other. Then we can install our hitch pin and clip. With the carrier in the folded up position, it's going to give us a ground clearance of about 10 inches and the closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is going to measure about 3 inches away. more

With the exemption of the full length steel shank, we get a nice aluminum construction which really saves weight. Still offers a 500 pound weight capacity and it's designed for use in two inch hitches. The part number on it MT70108. As we said the aluminum construction is really causes this to be a nice lightweight carrier, it might be a good choice if weight is going to be an issue for you. To do the test fit we'll just slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch and we'll line up our pin hole with our hitch pin hole. Once we have those in line we are going to take a standard five eights pin, slide it through and secure it on the other side with the clip. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Fit, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20" x 48" cargo carrier, part number C18145. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, lining up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten with a wrench. Now with our Curt cargo carrier secured to our Honda Fit, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 8" of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Honda Fit is here at the rear bumper, about 2-1/2" away. We've added about 22" to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Pilot, well be test fitting the Curt 24 x 60 folding cargo carrier, part number c18132. To install the carrier slide the shank into the opening of the hitch tube and align the pin holes, slide the pin through the pin holes and secure with a safety clip. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and the vehicle fit together, with the cargo carrier folded up there is about 8-1/2 inches of ground clearance, the closet part of the carrier to the closet part of the vehicle is about two inches with the cargo carrier folded up. With the cargo carrier folded down we have about 23-1/2 inches of ground clearance from the rear of the carrier, the closet part of the carrier to the closet part of the vehicles exhaust tip is about 22 inches, the cargo door extends over the base of the cargo carrier at about 20 inches and that concludes todays test fit for the Curt 24 x 60 folding cargo carrier, part number c18132 on this 2013 Honda Pilot. more

With our bolt tight our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our cargo carriers closest point to the back of the vehicle is a of an inch. The cargo carrier will add an additional 19 inches of overall length to the vehicle. more

From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is a half inch, and the cargo carrier will add an additional 26 inches of overall length to the vehicle. The ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 10 inches, and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passengers side here at the rear bumper. more

Today were working with a 2012 Honda Civic and were going to be test fitting Curts 20X48 inch cargo carrier, part number C18145. To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin holds feed in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. Next well go over a few clearance measurements. Weve got about 2 inches of clearance from the closest part of the cargo carrier to the closest art of the vehicle. Overall weve added about 21.5 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle. more

To mount the cargo carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our vehicle. Well line up the hitch pin holes, and insert our hitch pin securing it with a clip on the other side. Once weve done that our cargo carrier is installed and ready to load up. Next well go over some clearance measurements. more

To mount this carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up the hitch pin holes, feed our pin through and secure it with a clip. Now well check for some clearance measurements while we have the cargo carrier still folded up. From the closest point of our carrier to the furthest point of our bumper measures about two and a half inches of clearance. more

Today we have with us a 2007 Honda Pilot. Were going to be test fitting Curts 20 inch by 48 inch cargo carrier, part number c18145. To mount our cargo carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch on the Pilot. Well line up the hitch pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and well tighten it down with a three quarter inch wrench finally securing it with a clip on the other side. Now well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about two and three quarter inches clearance from the furthest part of our vehicle to the closest part of the carrier. more

Today we have with us a 2009 Honda Odyssey and were going to be test fitting the UWS Aluminum Cargo Carrier part number UWS03511. To mount our carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch on our van. Well line up the pin holes, feed the pin through and secure with a clip on the other side. We have about 1/4-inch between the furthest part of our bumper and the closest point of the bike rack. Weve added an overall length of about 23-1/2 inches to the rear of our vehicle. From the far corner of our cargo carrier to vehicles tailpipe weve got about 8 inches of clearance. more

Today on our 2009 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting Surco's 24-inch by 60-inch Cargo Carrier, part number 52018. To fit our carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin holes, feed the pin through and secure it with a clip on the other side. And now that we have our carrier secured, we're going to go over some clearance measurements. We've got about a quarter of an inch of clearance between the furthest point of our vehicle and the closest point of the cargo carrier. We've added about 26 inches of overall length to the rear of our vehicle. more

Today were working with a 2003 Honda CRV and well test fit UWSs 23 inch by 51 inch Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number UWS03511. To mount the carrier to our vehicle, well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well then line up the hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with a pin and clip. With our carrier mounted to the vehicle, well go over some clearance measurements. At the rear of the cargo carrier weve got about 13-inches of ground clearance, our spare tire just overhangs the rail of our cargo carrier and weve got about 7-inches of clearance between the tail pipe and the closest corner of our cargo carrier. Do keep this in mind while loading the cargo carrier as heat may transfer from the exhaust to the carrier and whatever is on it. more

Today in the studio, we have a 2003 Honda CR-V and we'll be test fitting Surco's 24-inch by 60-inch cargo carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin holes and then secure it with a pin and clip. With the carrier mounted to the vehicle, we'll go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 13 inches of ground clearance at the back of the cargo carrier. Our spare tire overhangs our cargo rail just a little bit and weve got about 7 inches of clearance from the tail pipe to the closest part of the cargo carrier. more

Alright, today on this 2012 Honda CRV were going to do a test fit of part #: C18145 from Curt, this is our 20x48 inch cargo carrier. One thing to note about this cargo carrier that it can work with inch and a quarter receiver hitches and it will also work with two inch receiver hitches with the included spacer. Well start off our test fit by installing the cargo carrier into the hitch, then well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and then well install the safety clip on the other side. Now well go ahead and get a few clearance measurements. From the edge of the bumper to the cargo carrier will be 4 inches and the overall length will be 24 inches, and the clearance from the tailpipe to the cargo carrier will be 9 inches. Now since the exhaust of this vehicle does point straight out back towards the cargo carrier be careful of the items you place back there in case theyre heat sensitive. more

From the closest point of the bumper to the cargo carrier it will be 3 inches and the overall length will be 27 inches. Now the tailpipe of this vehicle does point directly at the cargo carrier and the distance is going to be 8 inches, so be careful of the items that you put on that part of the cargo carrier. more

Today on this 2012 Honda CRV were going to do a test fit of part #: 52018F, this is Circos folding cargo carrier. One thing to know about this cargo carrier is that it is designed for 2 inch receiver hitches only. Now well start off our test fit by installing the cargo carrier into the hitch, then well install the hitch pin and clip. Then well go and get some clearance measurements. From the bumper to the edge of the cargo carrier at its closest point will be 3 inches and overall length will be 15 inches, and the ground clearance will be about 11 inches. A couple of other measurements, overall length will be 41 and the distance between the tailpipe of the vehicle to the cargo carrier is going to be 21 inches. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey, well be test fitting the Curt 20 x 48 Cargo Carrier for both 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch hitches, part number C18145. Now with our adapter installed, well simply slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole, and install our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle and we can go ahead and load it up. Now, well go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 1 inch, and well add an additional 20-1/4 inches of length to the overall vehicle. Now, with our exhaust exits on the passenger rear, but the cargo carrier is small enough and far enough away, there will be little to know transfer of heat from our tail pipe. more

Now all we need to do to install our cargo carrier is slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. And with that, our cargo carrier is secured and were ready to load it up. Now well give you a few measurements. In the stored position, the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is -inch and our ground clearance at the bottom of the cargo carrier is 9 inches. Well now pull the pin to fold our cargo carrier down. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey we'll be test fitting the 23 x 51 Aluminum Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number UWS03511. Now all we'll need to do to fit the cargo carrier to the vehicle is simply install the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin and that will secure our carrier to the vehicle. Now we'll give you a few measurements. The closest point on the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is a half an inch and the cargo carrier will add an additional 23-1/2 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Now the exhaust exits the passenger rear of the vehicle and the cargo carrier is small enough that it is not straight on to the tailpipe. There may be some slight heat transfer when driving down the road. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey, well be test fitting the Curt 20x60 folding aluminum cargo carrier part number C18100. Now all we need to do to fit the cargo carrier to the vehicle is simply install the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. And with that, well give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bottom of the cargo carrier is 8 inches and in the stored position the cargo sits very close to the vehicle but its not impacted in anyway. After pulling the pin to fold our cargo carrier down, the closest point of the cargo carrier is 6 inches from the bumper. And the cargo carrier will add an additional 26 inches of overall length to the Honda Odyssey. more
