Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Titan XD- Video

Hi, everyone it's me Evangeline here at etrailer and today we are looking at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2 Bike Rack here on our 2018 Titan XD. So the Kuat Sherpa is one of my favorite mid-range bike racks, especially because it has all the important features you would expect in a bike rack like tilt away, or your front wheel clamp, but it's at an affordable price. So let's take a look at that first feature and that is you can tilt it away. To do so by pulling that lever and just allowing it to drop down to a tilt. Now, what I did notice here on our Titan is that I can lower my tailgate most of the way, but not all the way 'cause it does hit our bike. So this is still enough to maybe grab whatever you need from your truck bed. more

Now the Kuat Transfer is one of my favorite bike racks with how well it balances adjustability, affordability, and it has a really cool goalpost design that makes it easier to mount and dismount your bikes. Now we'll take a look at one of its features, which is that it can tilt away. So what I like to do is just take this clamp and move that to the side, that means I can step right in here, inside that goalpost. Step on that lever, and then just drop this down to a tilt. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Nissan Rogue- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we are looking at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Rack here on our 2018 Nissan Rogue. Now the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack is one of my favorites when it comes to a bike rack that is lightweight and easily storable. So the way this works is that it holds on to your bike at three points, we have one, two straps on the wheel, and then you have this third mounting point, which is the frame clamp. So the frame clamp is kind of cool in its design, in that it can rotate in 360 degrees. So depending on your bike's frame, you can move this clamp up, down, side to side, and even rotate it around. more

Now the Kuat NV is one of my favorite bike racks, when it comes to the premium range of bike racks. It has everything you can expect, super heavy duty weight capacity, integrated locks and an extra repair stand, because why not Now we're gonna take a look at one of the features, which is that it can tilt away, to do so you pull this lever right here and just allow it to drop down to a tilt. And you'll want to do that if you wanna access your hatch. So, as you can see here on our Rogue, there is plenty of clearance between our door and our handlebars meaning we can get into our trunk, maybe grab our water, grab our bags, grab our helmets, all without having to take our bike off, which is nice, is convenient, and it gets you out onto the trail a lot faster. more

Now, the Kuat Transfer is one of the affordable bike racks that has the features you would expect in a premium bike rack. It's one of my favorites because of its unique goalpost design that allows you to step into the bike rack and mount and dismount your bike very quickly. So let's take a look at one of the features of the bike rack, which is that you can tilt it away. So just step on this lever, and let it drop down to a tilt, and you'll want to do this if you wanna access your hatch. So as you can see here on our Rogue, as we open up our hatch, it looks like it comes close, but there's definitely still clearance between our door and our handlebars, meaning we can get into our trunk, maybe grab our helmets, grab our water, grab our bags without having to take our bike off. more

That's going to be a really nice platform style bike rack, and one of the standout things with this one is the way it holds it. It's going to be a wheel mounted bike rack, which means it holds it by the front tire here and has a secondary attachment point at the back tire with this strap here. It's going to be great for your carbon frame bikes because you're not going to have any sort of frame contact, but it's also going to be good for those alternative frame bikes or even e-bikes. Because again, we're not relying on frame contact to hook onto and it's gonna have a 60 pound weight capacity. more

We are going to have a, inch and a quarter option, and both are gonna have options when it comes to colors This is matt black, we're gonna metallic black, and also gunmetal grey. So, you can match it to the car, if you want, or you can just get matt black, because it, kinda goes good with everything. Nice thing about this is, it's gonna have 60 pounds per bike, so for your electric bikes, without the battery, if it weighs under 60 pounds, you can go ahead and use it. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano- Video

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 platform-style bike rack on our 2015 Nissan Murano. So this is going to be able to get four bikes to and from your destinations, perfect fit for this car, just because you can fit four people in here pretty easily. So, if you have a carbon fiber frame bike, this probably isn't the best route to go, just because it is going to strap to your frame. I usually like to get wheel-hook type bike racks whenever I have a carbon frame bike, but any of the other bikes you may have it's going to work really, really well with it. Electric bikes, no, but it is going to be able to fit tires widths up to three inches, and we're going to have a weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike.What I like about it is how diverse it can be. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Nissan Altima- Video

Rob: Hey everybody, it's Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro two bike hanging style rack on our 2019 Nissan Altima. And our rack is going to be great for mountain bikes, women's bikes, kid bikes, a lot of bikes out there. However, since it is a hanging style rack, it's not really recommended that you use it for a carbon style frame bike, because that is going to put all the stress on the frame and it can weaken it over time. But our rack is going to hold your bike in three different points to make sure it's secure when you are going down the road. We'll have two supports on the cross tube, and then we're going to have one on the vertical support, and that's going to act as an anti-sway, preventing the bike from moving too much back and forth and making that bike to bike contact.Now removing them is extremely easy. You just got these little levers, push that button in, we can loosen up the strap. more
