Clayton: Hey everyone. Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Two-bike Platform Rack on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This is a two-bike platform rack, and one of the best features is we can actually tilt our bike rack down with bikes on it, to get into our trunk.As you can see, there's plenty of room for our trunk to open and still clear our bike. As you can see, there's plenty of room to where we can get into our trunk, if we need to get a drink or bike parts, anything we might need before we go out on the trail. When we're done on our trunk, we simply close the trunk of our vehicle, come back up here and tilt our bike rack up.Our bike is secured in two spots. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Hyundai, Santa Fe, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro platform style bike rack.The rack that we have here today is a two bike version, but there's also a one bike version available as well. But with that being said, one of the things that really separates this platform style rack compared to some of the others, is that it uses two wheel hooks, one on each tire. So, that's going to work out really well for those of you that have those carbon fiber bikes, you won't have to worry about any frame contact.Now, a lot of times with platform racks, when you get a couple of bikes on them, you run into the issue of putting that second bike on there and having interference with your seat, the second bikes handlebars can get jammed up and it can be a real hassle sometimes. That's not going to be the case with this one and that's because we're able to offset our bike. So if loosen up our wheel hooks a little bit, you're actually able to roll the bike one way or another, and clamp it back down. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2019 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Camber hitch mounted bike rack. So the rack that we have here today holds up to a total of four bikes, but if you don't need to carry that many, there's also a two bike version available as well. So the rack is going to hold our bike down in three spots and it's going to keep it really secure. We're not going to have a whole lot of movement at all. We're going to have two straps here along the top tube, and the strap down here acts as a anti-sway strap. That's going to really help prevent that side to side movement. more

The first thing you'll notice is it is a hanging style bike rack, which means the bike kind of hangs around the cradles instead of being held by the wheels on a platform like in a platform style rack. Which means it might not be the best option if you have a carbon fiber bike like more expensive bikes, you're worried about scratching, the frame or indenting or anything like that if these straps. If you're just worried about any of that, this is probably not the way to go. You'd want to put it on a platform rack. more

Hitching Post Pro is going to allow us to take up to four bikes with us to and from the trail. Now we're going to have three points of contact to hold the bike nice and secure, and have two on the cross tube on the top. And we're also going to have one on the vertical support that's going to be an anti-sway, it's going to help prevent any kind of bike to bike contact from the bike moving too much. But, if you're worried about buying a single-bike rack, and then all of a sudden needing to carry two bikes if a friend wants come with you or something like that, you can pop this off and do an add-on of another one, and then it carries two bikes. But today, we're just going to focus on the MonoRail, just one bike.Right out of the gate, I want to show you, now, if you're like me, sometimes you forget stuff in the back of your car. I forgot my helmet before, and instead of taking the bike off, and the bike rack off, or climb through the back seat, which is kind of a pain, you can actually just tilt it down with the pull of a lever, which is nice. more

Now the Swagman CURRENT is going to be an excellent solution to get some of your beefier bikes to your destination, whether it's your electric bike, like we have here, fat tire bikes. But it's going to do a really good job of holding most style bikes. The one exception I would say is with this being a frame mounted bike rack is, I wouldn't put your carbon fiber bikes on this. How's it going, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport we're going to be taking a look at the Rola TX-102 tilting bike rack. The center mass does fold down to allow us to get access to our hatch, and to do that we'll come down here towards the bottom. It's going to be a pin here that we need to remove, but something I want to point out whenever we remove this pin, there's not going to be anything stopping our rack to come towards the vehicle. So whenever we do this, we want to make sure you got a hand on the rack to support it. Go ahead and remove the clip from the other side of the pin, pull it out, and we can swing it down. more

Our RockyMounts Westslope is going to allow us to carry two bikes to and from the trail and alleviate the problem of trying to get all the bikes inside of our Santa Fe. And since it's a platform style rack, what that means is it's going to hold our bike, but it's not going to have any frame contact at all. So we don't have to worry about scratching the finish, and it's going to be great for those road bikes that have those carbon frames.It'll secure the back tire using wheel strap to hold it in place. And on the front it's going to use this wheel spoke, so it's only going to be contacting the tire.One of the really nice things about the platform style rack too, is if we need to get in the back hatch, we can actually tilt the bike rack away without removing the bikes. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rhino-Rack two bike hanging-style rack, part number RRRBC045. Now, with a bike installed, let's take a close look and show off some of the features. Starting from the outside and working our way in, we have these two reflectors on the ends of our arms, which is a nice safety feature. The cradles can be adjusted up and down on the rack and around it to accommodate bikes of different size and length and to accommodate any spacing you might want between your bikes. We have three different points where our bike is secured. We have these two rubber straps securing the top of the frame into onto the cradles, and then we have this anti-rattle cradle with a rubber strap securing it. more

This two bike platform rack is going to allow you to carry two bikes on the back of your vehicle. The top frame contact lever holds your bike on using a hook with a ratcheting mechanism.This simply pulls up, presses down and you can release it with the button here. On each wheel you're going to have a ratcheting strap. This releases with the lever here and you simply line up the pad and pull it down till it holds your bike secure in the cradle.Included in your kit you're going to get a locking cable that will work with the locking clip and hitch-pin down there. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're gonna be test fitting the Inno Aero Light 2 Bike Rack, part number INH620. We already have a bike installed on our rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.,Starting at the end here, we do have this open lock portion, and that's where the integrated cable lock is gonna come into play. You simply pull it out, plug it into this portion here, and then lock it into place at the end here, and it does come with two keys.The cradles themselves do move back and forth and side to side and as needed, and the anti sway cradle can fold in and out as needed also. We generally have it folded up when loading and unloading because this makes 10 times easier. It will grip your bike at three points, will have the two straps up at the top, as well as the one in the anti sway cradle. And that's gonna be the one that keeps the bike from moving to far back and forth and causing bike to bike contact.When removing these, you can either push the tabs like this one here on both sides in and remove the entire strip, or such as this case, just one, and that's what I'm gonna do. more

We'll start at the end here, you can see it has this locking point, and that's going to be for the integrated cable lock into the certain mast here. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Quad 2+2, two- and four-bike platform rack for 2-inch hitches, part number S64692. We already have a bike installed on our rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look here.This is a pretty unique bike rack in that it can fit both motorhomes and vehicles, so you can take this with you on the road with your RV or utilize it with your home vehicle as well. Also, you can convert this from a four-bike to a two-bike as well by removing the bolt up in the center here and removing this last section of two bikes out.It's going to grip your bike at three points. We're going to have two wheel straps on either end, and the wheel cradles themselves are adjustable by loosening and tightening the knobs here and shifting them back and forth to accommodate bikes of different sizes or wheel bases.And then up at the top, we're going to have this padded frame hook. Now with the padded frame hook, it's going to help protect the frame of your bike once you're traveling to make sure there's no scratches on it even while in the install process. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Glide EX 4-Bike Rack for inch-and-a-quarter and two-inch hitches, part number: SA774.Now this is a pretty unique bike rack when it comes to the hanging style. This can fit up to four bikes, but this can also kind of glide or slide away from the vehicle with all four bikes still attached to gain rear-hatch access, which is very unique for a hanging style. Most that do actually do that, swing away as opposed to glide out.To glide it out, we have this convenient handle in the back. You pull that in and let it come out, like so. Now we have total-hatch access to get what we need, and more than enough space to do so. We'll just reverse that process to bring it back, and push it back in place til you hear a little bit of a click.The cradles themselves are stationary, and it's going to grip at three points. more

Let's go ahead and take a little closer look here.Starting out with the arms working on the outsides in, at the ends of both arms we're gonna have these patented Yakima bottle openers, so you can have a cold one after a ride on the trail. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Hyundai Tucson- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Pro XTB 2 Bike Platform Rack for 2" Hitches, part number TH9034XT.We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look. Like most platform style racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached to get rear hatch access. But unlike others, the way to tilt it away, we have this handle up at the front, which is very convenient because most platform styles will have a switch or a knob or something that you have to remove up towards the front here to be able to tilt it away, which can be pretty awkward when you have two bikes installed or if you we're to get extensions, three or four bikes.We'll come to the handle here, pull it towards us and let it come down. Now, we have full hatch access. There's going to be plenty of space between the hatch and the handlebars, as you can see here. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts MonoRail two bike platform rack for two inch hitches, part number RKY10004.We have a bike attached to the bike rack already. Let's go ahead and take a closer look at it here. Like most platform style bike racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached to gain full hatch access. To make it even easier when you're lowering it down or tilting it away, it has this lever here at the end where you pull it towards you, and that enables you to tilt. A lot of other bike racks of this style, they're gonna have the pins up at the front that you have to remove individually, or the one lever that you have to pull out, and that can be pretty awkward when you have two bikes attached, or if you we're to get the extension for this, even three or four bikes attached.So to lower it down, you go to that lever, holding on to the bike rack, pull it towards you, and let the bike rack come down. Now we have full hatch access. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Hyundai Tucson RKY10002- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test-fitting the Rockymounts Back Stage 2 Bike Platform Rack for 2 inch hitches, part number RKY10002. We have a bike installed already. What sets this apart from the other platform style racks is it has multi-functions here. For one, it can tilt away with both bikes attached, to gain rear hatch access, but it can also swing out away from the vehicle for hatch access as well.How it tilts away, we have this handle at the front, and this is really nice for these platform style racks because a lot of them will have either the knob or the pins up at the front that you have to remove, and when you have 2 bikes installed, it can be pretty difficult to get through there, just to release it, and not only that, to help lift it down. With this, it's at the end. We pull that lever towards us while holding onto the bike rack, and you let it tilt towards you, nice and easy.In this case, our hatch opens with no problems, and plenty of space between the handle bars and the hatch as well. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Hyundai Tucson TH9054- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson we're going to be test fitting the Thule Double Track Pro 2 Bike Platform Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, Part Number TH9054.We already have a bike on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look here. Unlike most platform style racks, this cannot tilt away with both bikes attached. Instead, this is more of just your basic bike rack to get your bikes from point A to point B. What does make this unique from other styles though, even though it has the center mast style clamping system, instead of having the hook that comes down to put it in place they have the clamps that can be adjusted up and down or whatever configuration you may need for your frame to hold that in place. Therefore, you really don't need the bike adapter bars that you would with the hook styles for bikes like kids' bikes or alternate frame bikes.It also has straps at both tires to hold it in place, and this can accept fat tire bikes up to 5" wide. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number TS02G.We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look. Like most platform style racks, this does tilt away from the vehicle for rear hatch access with both bikes still attached. What makes it slightly different though is you can do it just with the touch of your foot here at the end with this pedal. Push down while holding onto the bike rack, let it come towards you and now you have full hatch access.There's plenty of space in-between the bike and the hatch itself, as well as plenty of space on either side to get what you need, even the bulkier items. To put it back in its original position, you lift it up by the bike rack, never the bike. more
